Applejack started pacing around the farm. The pegasus known as Draco O'Malley was supposed to deliver an ultra rare apple to her, all the way from Appleloosa, but he was late. "Where could this pony be? He's done deliveries before, and was never late before... I hope he is alright"

Applejack started pacing around the farm. The pegasus known as Draco O'Malley was supposed to deliver an ultra rare apple to her, all the way from Appleloosa, but he was late. "Where could this pony be? He's done deliveries before, and was never late before... I hope he is alright"

Draco flew as quick as he could through a dangerous storm. He took this dangerous route because it was faster. He was warned it was dangerous but he was a stubborn stallion. When he finally came through the storm. He dove down  gaining speed. He saw Ponyville the saw three fillies entering the Everfree forrest. "Oh cripes," Draco said as he slowed his descent turning sharply as he followed the three fillies.

 

He recognised them as the three trouble makers. He saw they were in trouble via a manticore.

Applejack kept pacing around the farm, then noticed something odd. Applebloom and her friends weren't pestering her. She started getting really worried, so she goes to Big Mac (who btw I have a massive pony crush on XD), "Big Mac, have you seen Applebloom?"

"Nope"

"Do you know where she is?"

"Nope"

She then hears three familiar screams and rushes towards the forest.

Draco just growled as he spread his large wings shielding the three fillies from the manticore. The beast decided to take a chunk out of his arse instead of the three fillies (Not literally). The manticore narrowed it's eyes the pony standing between the alpha predator and it's prey. Draco was concentrating on his innate magic which all ponies have sharpening his wings to the sharpness of obsidian glass.

 

"Stay behind me fillies," Draco said as he charged toward the manticore barely dodging the large paws but it's claws scratched hims deep. Crimson blood splattered onto the trees. "Big kitty want's to play eh?" Draco snarled as he sliced the manticores chest while again barely dodging the lion hybrid's tail.

Applejack sees them and runs towards them, "Applebloom! You and your friends get back to the farm. NOW! I will talk to you about this later!" She demands. Applebloom nods and she and her friends flee from the forest back to the forest. Applejack then curses under her breath that she didn't bring her lion taming kit or that Fluttershy wasn't there. She then sees the Draco fighting the manticore. She curses again, "buck it!" she flies off to get her kit and find Fluttershy.

With one final stroke Draco slain the manticore right after Applejack ran off. He was definitely wounded as he bled. He walked to the farm to finish his delivery. Draco looked through his blurred eyes. "Oi anypony here?" Draco asked as his Irish accent poked through. He needed to lay down as he bled.

Big Mac walks out, and sees Draco, he recognized him from previous deliveries. He walks over to him, picks him up and drapes him over his back and carries him to the barn where he lay him down on some clean hay bales, "Where's Applejack?" he asks, she then rushes in, "I'm here, Big bro, I couldn't find..." she then sees the wounded Draco, then runs to him, "Big Mac, quick, get him into my room, I will look after him!"
Big Mac didn't question his little sister's motives, he just picks Draco up, and carries him to Applejack's room and puts him on her bed, then stands out of the way as Applejack begun to gather things to clean and dress Draco's wounds.

Big Mac didn't question his little sister's motives, he just picks Draco up, and carries him to Applejack's room and puts him on her bed, then stands out of the way as Applejack begun to gather things to clean and dress Draco's wounds.

"Sorry I'm late miss Applejack. afew of my more rowdy customers wanted to not pay the price for my deliveries," Draco said wincing. "Yep not one of my best ideas," he said as he laid there. He sighed as he forgot the healing talismans at his home. He didn't know which was worst the medicine or the cure because those healing talismans do their job alright but they feeling like lava get's poured though your very veins.

 Applejack begun dabbing the medicinal alcohol onto the wounds, "Draco, you know my element of harmony is honesty, I would appreciate honesty, but it's not like I don't know what happened. I saw you defend my little sister and her friends, and for that.. I am eternally grateful. And don't worry, I will have a few serious words with her after this." Applebloom hid in the corner, fearing the wrath of Applejack's anger. Applejack ignored her for the time being and got out her needle and thread, "Now this will hurt, I'm sorry sugarcube, but 'tis better than bleeding out again." She then begins to stitch up his wounds.

Draco said with abit a sarcasm as he winced "Not the first time  I've been like this," Draco said as he looked at Applejack. "And yes it's true what she did was foolish but she is an impatient filly who want's to not be bullied anymore," Draco said as he winced as she used the thread "Usually I use healing talismans for this but my home is abit far so this'll work. And when I say I'm used to it I mean it. In the zebra lands I have to prove myself to the zebra chiefs to open up new contracts for me,"

Applejack nods, "I understand sugarcube, but please, next time just be hones with me. I guess you're right about Applebloom, but..." she sighs, and looks to Applebloom, "You're lucky Draco is here little sis, now go and play with yer friends, just... be careful and stay away from the forest unless you are with me, one mah friends or you are going straight ta Zecora's. Understand?"

Applebloom nods and runs off.

"I am being honest Applejack. Heh believe me when I say that there are ponies out there that deserve a god old fashioned arse kicking you know," Draco said as he looked at her. "I do appreciate this Applejack. The ambrosia apple is on the house," Draco said as he grabbed his delivery bag then opened it up to  a small apple "This'll grow back," Draco said as he placed the apple next to the bed then rolled it to the middle of the room. After he took off the two talismans on the apple. and boom the apple grew 5 times.

 

Ambrosia apples tend to grow larger when planted in volcano ashed which makes the soil quite fertile. Add in dragon dung and boom big apple that could feed a whole town. "I tried one of those before pretty good,"

Applejack nods, "Fair enough, and thank you Draco." She sighs and sits down next to Draco, "I appreciate you doing the delivery for free, but what matters most ta me now, is you fully recovering, which could take some time. Is there anything ya need? A drink, some food?"

"Well thirsty mostly. Then again I did go through a storm a bad one at that. Deliveries tend to make me wonder what I do is right. Becuse most ponies think that I am just some wretched marenizer(womanizer). Bah no big deal. Then I have to deal with the so called 'nobles' of Canterlot. Believe me nothing noble about that lot,"

Applejack nods, "Oh ah know what ya mean, ma friends and I had to learn that the hard way at the Gala. Though, the Princesses and Prince Shining Armour are really nice, mind you, my close friend Twilight Sparkle is a Princess now and her older brother, Shining Armor is married ta Princess Cadence." She holds his hoof soothingly, "How so? Ah mean, why do most ponies think of ya like that? What do you do?"

"I get flirty when I get drunk," Draco said slightly quiet at that part. "I tend to get drunk alot after my deliveries. Seeing the ponies with their loved ones tends to do that to ya you know. But hey who am I to gripe about my lack of family eh?" Draco said as he laid there. "Though I think a new coat would be nice out of that anticore. could finish that one delivery I've been holding off for now," Draco thought to himself.

Applejack shakes her head, "If flirting is all ya do, then it's not that bad, it's when ya intentions ta bed them as well, then that's when ah'd call ya marenizer, sugarcube" She held his hoof, secretly, she had a crush on him, she chuckles, "ah good friend of mine, Scarlet, perhaps ya've heard of her and her band, Twisted Fate? She's a bit of a flirt, as is the bass guitarist. But they're great ponies." She then gets up and goes to the kitchen. Big Mac still stands there, a thoughtful look on his face.

"Heard of them aye when I caught them in abit of a bind with a mugger," Draco said as he chuckled. "Flirted with me too. But when I say flirting with the mares I mean when I sing serenades," Draco said as he sat up careful in his movements like always. "And their married mares. I'm usually ran out of town," Draco laughed slightly.

Applejack hears as she returns with some non alcoholic cider, "Here drink this, and well, alcohol does do that to a pony, it blurs their inhibition to know right from wrong, and well when you're in a bar, it is hard to tell if a mare is married or not." She sighs, "So ya're the one that saved them? I shoulda known" she says with a smile, "gosh, how do I tell him, no I can't.. he'd never..." She passes him the cider, "Big Mac, ya can go now"

"Eeyup" he says before leaving the room.

Draco rubbed the back of his head. "I was raised to help ponies no matter the situation," Draco said as he looked slightly embarrassed. He wondered if the Coco Bucko was going to teleport here to ponyville. He wanted to show the kind mare a good time a night on the town. He smiled as he accepted the drink. "Thank you," Draco said after gulping down the cider.

Applejack smiles, "Then yar parents must be very kind ponies indeed." She says, tearing up a little, at the memory of losing her parents when she was just a little filly. "I..I'm sorry, I n..need to go somewhere, ya..ya stay here and rest." She walks somberly out of her room and looks at the sky, it was getting dark quick and there were stars already out, she looks at them, "I miss ya ma and pa" she says quietly, trying hard not to cry.

Draco sighed as he smiled gently but he couldn't help but eyed her flanks. He smiled slightly as he saw the night sky. "Beautiful," Draco said as he looked at the sky dotted with stars and the moon. He began to hum one of his old songs he used to sing when he worked at the Coco Bucko. The song was slightly melancholic in nature. He began to sing slightly.

Applebloom hears Draco singing, she knocks on Applejack's door, "M...Mr Draco? I..is everything alright?" she asks, then walks over to the window, and sees Applejack looking out at the stars, "Poor big sis, she loves and misses them terribly." She looks at Draco, "I neva knew them, not really"

"Her parents? I can tell and yes I am fine. It's an old song I used to sing when I wasn't a courier. But that was long time ago," Draco said as he smiled. "Hmm well tell me little Aplle what can I sing for you?" Draco asked as he looked at the little filly. "A song that my mother used to sing for me when I was younger shall do I think. It' late so thisone won't be as loud," Draco said as he began to hum a tune for the little one.

 

"If I had words, to make a day for you, I'd sing you a morning, golden and true. I would make this day, last for all time, then fill the night, deep in moonshine." he sang gently into Applebloom's ear.

Applebloom smiled but quickly fell asleep. "N..nighty night mr Draco" she yawns and curls up on the floor.

Applejack wipes the tears from her eyes and walks back to her room and hears Draco singing, she waits and then hears Applebloom's voice. She smiles and walks in, gently lifts her up, then carries her to her own room, tucks her in and whispers, "sleep well mah little sis, big sis loves ya" then walks back to her room, "that was really nice what ya did fer her, singing her a song, ah...ah've been too busy and distracted to pay her much attention"
