How you became a fan of My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic: A girl I know likes it. Not sure what else to say.

Hi.  I'm terribly sorry, but the topic title was all of the fake enthusiasm I could muster.

 

So in the spirit of umm . . .  friendship, magic, and ponies who may or may not be little, I guess I'll just be honest.

 

The short version: There's this girl that I really like that I've been hanging out with a bunch.  A few days ago, we were geeking out over geek stuff when it came up in conversation that she's a "Pegasister."  I'd heard the term Brony, but that one was a new one on me.  I really have no idea about any of this stuff, but given the MLP merch at her place, she apparently really likes it.

 

So uh . . .  where do I even start?  Is there some Cliff's Notes version of this thing?  Is there any legitimate streaming site that I can watch the show on?  I'd like to end my MLP cluelessness, but I'm completely at a loss as to how to become a "Pegasister" myself.

 

Help me out?

The term pegasister pretty much means a female brony.

 

And there are many places you can watch the episodes for example: Youtube or here http://www.watchcartoononline.com/

 

There's also a lot of information about the show and us bronies on the internet you could find.

Welcome to the forums, Kupcake. Don't worry about being "clueless" when it comes to MLP or the fans. We all started out from the same square one. Most of us became fans because we were told or heard about how cool this cartoon is and we were curious. As others have said, episodes are pretty easy to find on Youtube and Dailymotion. But bear in mind that these and unauthorized streams violates Hasbro's copyright so you may run into some obstacles if your goal is to view the entire series.

 

Feel free to explore the forum and have fun. I'm sure you'll have lots of new MLP stuff to talk to your friend about very soon.
