How you became a fan of My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic: My friend showed me a few episodes, I was skeptical at first, but ended up liking it I draw, mostly graffiti but when it comes down to it I can draw anything. There's plenty to see and do here MLP related and there are lots of friend making opportunities here too. And here are two tips: Be yourself and be patient. Nobody needs to put on a facade or be something they're not here. And sometimes it takes a little while for others to become acquainted with you. But once they know what you like to write about and what your interests are, that's when the real friend making will begin. Cheers! I also wanted to add that Welcoming Plaza topics are one to a member. If you have something new to discuss, they can go in your blog, status updates, lounge, show discussion, etc. as appropriate.
