~SadisticFluttershy~ 779 May 5, 2014 Share May 5, 2014 I really don't see why anyone would be scared to buy MLP Merch. Normally, I would go to hot topic or order something from online somewhere if I had money.. considering that my RD wallet is worn down and is falling apart. And that I need to buy more shirts, but that's not the point. The thing is mate, you shouldn't be scared to let people know who you are and what your interests are(My bad if this is off topic, but it's to make a point). You shouldn't have shame. I don't. I told my parents, siblings, friends.. and they're okay with it. Anyway, back to topic. To get things without letting them know... well, i'm not sure how I can assist with that because it seems almost impossible because eventually, they're gonna find out. So, I'm not sure how to deal with a situation like that because I never had to go through that. 2 Thanks MiniKirby! It's soooooo awesome! "Enough Chitchat time is candy!".- Pinkie Pie. Scootalove 10,689 May 5, 2014 Share May 5, 2014 You would have to buy your merchandise when you are alone, then hide in a safe and familiar place that only you know. Credit: Moony © Forum FAQ Forum Rules
Azure Envy 1,092 May 5, 2014 Share May 5, 2014 I agree with SadisticFluttershy, eventually they will find out, but maybe I'm just way past that point where I cared about what the cashier thought as I walked out of the store. I've got about ten years on you and trust me, the people working at the store aren't gonna care. As for your parents, might as well just tell them. Mine? Asked me, aren't those for little girls? Nah. M'aiq the Liar 5,804 May 5, 2014 Share May 5, 2014 (edited) Just walk up and buy it. Most cashiers don't really care all that much (I know from experience, working retail at Costco a while back),so as long as you don't make a big scene about it, most won't care or will only say things behind your back. Very few will be directly confrontational as they can loose their job for doing so. So as long as you keep a straight face, you can just walk in and buy it. And if you order online, a lot of the smaller retailers will "clandestine" it for you, normally at no charge, or at most a couple of bucks. So as long as your family doesn't just haphazardly open your packages, you should be fine. Azure Envy 1,092 May 5, 2014 Share May 5, 2014 thanks guys! I think I will look into clandenstine Amazon ships everything in one of their boxes or envelopes, so uh... not super familiar with "clandestine" services but if you're looking for nondescript packaging I imagine most online retailers will do that for you by virtue of the boxes they ship them in.
