general media What do you think of "the Vine?"

If you don't know what a Vine video is, it's those looping, six-second videos that you can record and watch on your phone. They might be for older people that are 17+, so I'll leave it for the reader to know what they are.

 

Is it funny? Is it stupid? Is it the ridiculously fast version of Youtube? Do you like them?

 

Oh man, I enjoy them to a degree, except I'm not going to watch my peers fail or win at life for 6 seconds forever and ever. Also, if it's dangerous, I recommend that you don't do it in the first place (Like a guy jumping over a car while it's running).

Is it a fulcrum of social media, as some like Tara Strong utilize it quite often, or is it a passing trend like Myspace? What do you think of "the Vine"?

I love Vines. Most of the ones that rise to popularity are quite funny, and I'm a fan of those 'suddenly comedy' scenarios. I hope they stay a while.

It really depends. Not every Vine is gonna be funny and appeal to me, but there are some that I like.

It's like Instagram, only that it has videos. And only videos. It has a cool idea of having a monthly leaderboard of who has a really good vine of the month
