My Favourite Mane 6 Pony: Rainbow Dash How did you find MLP Forums?: while looking for a subtle wallpaper I came across http://mlpforums.com/topic/127-post-your-desktop/page-174 How you became a fan of My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic: long story , this is a slightly abbreviated version.A friend tried to get me to watch it in season 1 and I didn't give it the light of day, eventually he stopped bothering me. I did not watch it even though I had several friends who told me I should watch it, I wasn't a hater just thought it was weird. Then last fall while looking for more web comics I stumbled into the furry fandom by accident at which point I realized the furry fandom was not weird as I had earlier presumed and I should maybe reconsider the brony fandom. In November I found out another friend of mine was a brony. Early January I had three hours to kill and was bored so I downloaded the first few episodes and watched them in my car. I got hooked and became a brony I'm a geeky college student that is majoring in computer science. I run arch linux as my daily OS and find it far simpler than ubuntu which dies about a week after install, last time taking most of the partition table with it. I have done some 3d modelling/animation in addition to programming but am a bit rusty. Interests/hobbies: programming, 3d modelling, gaming, building pc/helping others with build, reading, wallpaper hunting(how I found mlpforums), fishing(caught a 74 lb blue catfish last fall), youtube music: mostly rock but I do enjoy dubstep and some other electronic music and the occasional metal, I also enjoy fan music or alterations on game music such as ephixa's zeldastep and mlp fan music favorite games: portal 2, Legend of Zelda OOT/MM/WW books: Hard to pick a favorite as I've read so many and very little as of recent but some series that were good include Eragon, The Hunger Games, most of the hitchhikers guide to the galaxy and other series that I can't remember lol. I also enjoy dystopian books such as 1984, animal farm, the circle(had to read for college and was surprisingly good) I haven't read for the fun of it in a few years as I have been busy doing other things. More recently I have read The Elegant Universe and The Fabric of the Cosmos both of which focus on string theory, special relativity etc. and The Art of Intrusion which is about computer hacks Movies: haven't watched any recently, james bond movies are only good movies I've seen recently enough to really comment on shows: MLP, Top Gear , Hogan's Heroes youtube channels: nerdcubed, yogscast martyn, veritasium, vsauce 1/2/3, and about 100 others politics.... eh never mind One thing I did about 6 months ago is build a working hovercraft in a team that won a small competition and I may end up making a more ambitious hovercraft over the summer.
