The Central Florida Regional Transportation Authority operates a bus service for Greater Orlando and surrounding areas under the brand name Lynx, taking on 30 million riders annually.

Manufacturer and Powerplant: Lynx operates primarily lower cost transit buses built for primarily suburban duties. Most of the Fleet consists of the Gillig Low-Floor and its newer variant the BRT. Older NABI and Neoplan models are still in service. The fleet is powered by Diesel and Biodiesel fuels.

Fare Collection: Although Lynx does not utilize a contactless payment card, several passes are available to bundle trips on the bus such as 7 day and 30 day passes as well as All-Day passes are available. The Standard Adult fare stands at $2. Lynx operates two routes in downtown Orlando which are entirely free.

Livery: Lynx buses do not share a common livery other than the trademark Lynx paw print. Lynx Buses are painted from a large palette of pastel colors ranging from Magenta to Mint Green and Pink. This simplicity allows for larger advertising space on the sides of its fleet.

Innovations: Lynx actively educates its riders about how service may be impacted during each hurricane season. Lynx bus stops, uniquely do not feature pictures of buses but rather the corporate Lynx branded paw print and "Routes" are called "Links" making it one of the most uniquely branded transit systems in the country. Newer signs however include a bus on the sign for the benefit of tourists not familiar with the system.
