About this blog

This is probably not worth reading...but I love to talk.

Personal Questions? WOW. Feel free to stalk me.

What? Of course I didn't repost this because no one saw it. That would be silly.     Put your music player of choice on shuffle and list the first 10 songs I put my Pandora on shuffle so this'll be interesting... 1. One Thing Remains - Jeremy Riddle 2. Mar Desconocido - Pink Martini 3. Happy Ending - Sweet Signatures 4. All the Right Moves - OneRepublic 5. Come Fly With Me - Frank Sinatra 6. The Strength To Go On - Rise Against 7. Sad Song - Christina Perri 8. Mr. Brightside - The K

Cutest MLP theme cover

I might be biased because this is my little sister. But I think it was adorable.   She gets the words wrong, but that makes it cuter.

PLASTIC KNIVES ARE DANGEROUS

That just sounds stupid doesn't it? Especially when it's about a dull, plastic, toy knife. Ever since my dad has gotten into the business of designing knives aimed towards helping kids understand knife safety he's gotten a lot of these comments.   The knives are advertised as being able to cut through warm butter, and it's true! It's funny how worried about kids having these as toys, especially when they think they can be sharpened and used as a weapon.   Here's one of those people who made

Why flooding your kitchen isn't such a bad idea...

...so long as you have insurance.   As you may or may not know I just got back from a family vacation to Japan. When we came in the kitchen there was a small puddle of water near the fridge. Sometimes that happens in our house with the fridge and dishwasher so it didn't seem all that strange. In fact it could have been the person that was house-sitting for us had dropped some ice on the floor. So when my parents moved the fridge back just to check, we were surprised to realize there was a leak

Eating Disorder

Today I found out my sister has an eating disorder. It's hit me harder than I thought.   I came back to my dad's today after being in Japan for a week. About an hour after I got home my step mom asked me to go outside and talk to her. Usually these talks don't go well for me, I was getting frantic trying to think about what I could have done this time. But I couldn't think of anything they would care about (or at least know about) that I had done since probably middle school.   My step mom

A letter from me

There's a teacher in my middle school who has all of her 7th grade students write letters to themselves to be delivered just before they graduate. She writes her own letter to the students graduating wishing us luck and letting us know how she's been.   Today I got mine back. Unfortunately I have a pretty good memory so I remember that a lot of the stuff I wrote wasn't very interesting. Despite that I found some of the stuff I included was not what I had expected.   Here's a few of the parts

Analyzing Obama's Speech

This is going to be quick, don't worry.   For my AP English class we had to analyze the speech Obama gave recently regarding the gun control legislation being voted against by the Senate. This isn't an attack on him, merely an observation. I really don't like politics so I don't pay much attention to the speeches that politicians give.   I noticed while analyzing this speech that Obama's speeches have no substance. The words are poetic sure, but far from being memorable. No wonder people t

How to be Happy (and a generally well-liked person)

One of my greatest flaws has been that I'm generally rude, annoying, and unhappy. I've begun to realize many of the things I do that caused me to be unhappy, and as a result caused people not to want to be around me. Over the past couple years I've worked on trying to be a better person and here are the top ten guidelines I try to live by.   1. Socialize Whether it's joining a sport, band, theater, a club, or just hanging out with friends or family. Get out and do more things with people. You

My (Rather Uninteresting) Day...Oh yeah, and another surreal/profound moment

Brace yourselves for a boring blog post, you've been warned. I really just felt like writing something.   Today began like most other days (see it's boring already), except I realized I forgot to shave my legs. I got a scholarship application finished and in the mail so I was feeling pretty good about that. I got to school and realized I had no cash on me so that meant no coffee (a very sad thing ). Before school even started I got my phone stolen and hid by my friends and it was also brough

Interview with Maya

My little sister is the cutest child. She's the youngest child (4 years old) and I'm the next youngest (almost 18) so there's a huge age difference. But the fact that she's grown up in a more mature household without any kids her age has made her have an interesting and creative perspective on life. Since I'm watching her right now I decided to ask her some questions and see what she answers. Enjoy!   Here's a picture of the cutie:   What is your favorite color?   Pink!   What is yo

On Death

Sorry this is going to be long, but I won't feel better until write down what's been going through my mind today.   This part is about my grandma...   Just over a year ago my family received some devastating news, my grandma was diagnosed with cancer. It came as a shock to everyone, she was one of the healthiest, most positive people I knew. I was never really close to her but I respected her a lot. I went over to her house all the time when I was little, and until about middle school. She

Getting a little personal...profound moments.

This is just something I thought I would share since I've never really told anyone this and I didn't know where else to write about it.   There are moments in life that are so profound (or emotional) that they make you want to cry because you're overcome with emotion. For some of us it's the death of someone, or it could be as simple as a leaf gently tumbling across the pavement on a quiet street on a still morning. I could write a whole post about profound moments, and maybe I will.   For

Why my AP Calculus class is the best....plus more.

Most people are probably thinking "Ew Calculus, why would you ever even take that? Math is stooooopid." In fact that's what most of my school seems to think. Aside from the 14 of us who were stupid brave enough to take the class. In addition to Calculus being extremely difficult to comprehend it's also a block period at my school, meaning it takes up 2 out of our 7 periods every day. Furthermore it also happens to be the last two periods, or rather the time of the day when no one wants to do any

Who doesn't love art?

In case you hadn't seen my post, here's a sample of my first pony drawing. I'm mostly going to use it to track my progress...   I know, she has kind of a fat giraffe neck and no jaw, but in my defense the guide I was using was doing it at that weird angle. From now on I won't draw them like that so I can avoid "fatgiraffeneck" ponies.   Enjoy!   ps...sorry for the bad quality, my scanner isn't working so I had to just take a picture.

Well this is awkward....

I feel really bad...I begged for help with making a blog, I was desperate...and I've barely done anything. I had so many interesting things that I wanted to write about.   As soon as I figured it out I was excited. I had even written something down on paper that I wanted to write on here. But I got busy. Insanely busy. These last few weeks have been so full of stuff needing to be done.   For anyone (which is probably no one) that cares, I'll have more time in a couple months and hopefully

WOAH SUPER AWESOME

...and hopefully that title got your attention. *ahem*   Now that you're here, I made a thread that y'all should check out. It's about a game I read about in gameinformer that's supposed to come out next year (hopefully). It's called The Witcher 3 and I'm mostly looking to get more information/thoughts from people that have looked into the game or the first 2 installments of it.   If you haven't heard of it you should totally check it out!     JUST LOOK AT IT.

A blog...AT LAST!

As many of you may, but probably don't know I've been trying to acquire a blog for quite a while now! At first it was thought that maybe I needed more posts, but that wasn't it. Finally StarStreak helped me figure it out! For this I am eternally grateful!   However, other members might not be so grateful due to my incessant talking/posting that may or may not be happening now. I have no idea whether my thoughts are worth reading or whether I'm remotely interesting! (because I don't think I am
