As this blog attempts do decipher and make sense of the lore in My Little Pony there is a small list of things that will define what goes into these blog posts.

1) If I can not point to the source, information will not be included.

2) The show cannon trumps other cannon.

3) Fan speculation will not be included without an explanation of how it is derived from cannon.

4) Posts will fall into one of several categories

5) I will not seek to disprove theories around the show

These rules fleshed out into more detail can be seen below.

1) If I can not point to the source, information will not be included.

• Examples of sources: show, comics, books, writers of the show, ect.
  
• Examples of non sources: other fans, speculations, critiques of the show, ect.^​
  

2) The show cannon trumps other cannon.

• As the show is the primary source it's cannon shall trump all others.
  
• The list of other cannon in order of how it trumps goes as follows:
  
• show
  
• writers of the show
  
• book/comic
  
• deleted scenes/dialogue/ect.
  

3) Fan speculation will not be included without an explanation of how it is derived from cannon.

• Fan speculation does not count as a credible source unless backed by other credible sources meaning I can use their conclusions as stepping stones to further conclusions as long as their citations check out.
  

4) Posts will fall into one of several categories

5) I will not seek to disprove theories around the show

• My goal is to learn about the Lore and make my own theories, not to prove or disprove existing ones. However I cannot help that if in my search to learn more about the lore that I uncover something that disproves a theory be it one of your own or a common one from the fan base.
