Child of Light! Child of Light is a turn based RPG where you play as Aurora, a young girl on a journey that I will not explain any details here. The game uses a turn based battle system that is very similar to the Grandia series, using a timed bar to indicate who is attacking. There is a system of elements to us with your attacks and defenses, your trusty firefly Inginicolus to help time your attacks and guarding, and an overall atmosphere that pulls you in.

The best part of the game for me though, is the overall art direction. The music, the graphical style, the art in the game, it is all amazing. The moment I arrived on the title screen I was engrossed into the game's sheer atmosphere and story. The script is even all in rhyme which is a impressive feat really. All of the characters have their own personality's despite having no voices. The whole game oozes in beauty and I cannot recommend it enough for that reason alone. Like I said, it is not immensely long, at least for RPG standards and it is not breaking any major ground in its gameplay, but it is all still very well done and worth the $15 price tag.
