Honestly, while I'd prefer he remain an antagonist, it'd be -very- interesting to see him interact with the Mane Six and maybe the princesses, as a good guy. Like Chaser said, he'd probably have to have something happen to him that knocks his near omnipotent abilities down to size, because he's just too powerful. Q from Star Trek lost his powers in one episode and was forced to stay with the Enterprise's crew for a while, whilst they went on a mission. Something similar could be done with Discord.
