Paul Heyman predicted WCW's downfall during a Panel in 1995 (WARNING: FILTHY LANGUAGE)

Granted, he didn't knew about the rise of the NWO, because that was a year before it. But if we look at it in retrospect, he was kinda right.
The topcard guys (Hogan, Hall, Nash, etc) are all guys, who have huge egos, especially Hogan, who was never willing to put the young guys over at that time. And instead of pulling on a string together, the huge egomaniacs rather wanted to do stuff on their own. And after awhile, it was tiring to watch matches like Hogan vs. Piper (who was way past his prime BTW) for the one millionth time in a row.
Why don't you put somebody like Sting, against a new upcoming star like Chris Jericho? Or why not find out what would happen, if Hogan would Wrestle Rey Mysterio for one Nitro? (granted, he would probably bury him, but you get my point.) Nope, we rather have Hogan vs. Flair again, while the Cruiserweights put on the better matches in the mid and undercard.
It didn't matter to them in how shady of a condition the company was, they only cared about themselves and that their time in the spotlight was guaranteed.
And because of that, so many people turned over to raw, where Stone Cold was having his beer bashes, where The Rock was making his entertainment catchphrases and where Mick Foley puts butts in the seats becoming WWE champion. (Fuck you Schiavone)
