Comic-Con Day 2: Because Panels wear me out
Whew. What a day.
First off, I lucked out and got a ticket to the Autograph session of My Little Pony. Actually, it was alot easy to get one of those tickets. I went to the Hasbro Booth as soon as the doors opened, and I was able to easily acquire a ticket. And unlike in 2012, I made it to the My Little Pony panel.
Which is rather odd compared to back in 2012. During that year, it was really hard to get into a My Little Pony panel due to how small the room was. I only made it in 2013 due to a lesson I learned, and I was able to attend the MLP panels since then. Recently, the panel got a little easier to get into. It was almost like you could just walk into the room, sit back, and enjoy the time there.
The panelists all showed up: Tara, Tabitha, Andrea, Ashleigh, Cathy, Meghan, Mike and Daniel. Oh, and Liev Schreiber was there.
All they showed was tidbits of the upcoming My Little Pony film. Not only did this feel alot like a classic Disney film, but the Storm King reminds me of Hades from Disney's Hercules.
And yes, I did ask a silly question: What is your command, Storm King? XP
Afterwards, I was able to reach the Autograph session. It took some time, but I was able to meet up with the voice cast. I gave out pictures, but I gave two very important ones to Tabitha and Cathy. The former was because of what happened back in January, when she had to miss a day due to having to have her appendix cut out. The latter is the same image I gave to Charlie Adler yesterday. Both enjoyed it.
Afterwards, I was tired from going to panels. So I ate lunch, and went over to pick up something from Mattel(The Wonder Woman set from DC Superhero Girls), and went into the Nintendo Lounge. I was able to play a bit of Splatoon and Mario/Rabbids. The latter was alright, but I only got a small taste of it. I made a big mistake in the game, getting myself killed by a Rabbid Hulk. Oy vey.
After eating dinner at the Manchester Hyatt, I returned to catch Batman and Harley Quinn. It's a fun nod to Batman: The Animated Series that's really funny to watch. Some parts remind me of the Adam West era Batman. And Melissa Rauch did a great job as Harley Qunn, right alongside Arleen Sorkin and Tara STrong.
When I asked about Kevin and Loren paying tribute to Adam, Kevin gave a heartwarming story about his meeting with Adam West, how he got to work with him, how he was humble and was willing to let Kevin play the role. I admit, it brought a tear to my eye.
Anyway, besides the Wonder Woman toy, I also got a Songbird Serenade pin and 2 Justice League/Power Rangers comics.
The next 2 days will not be as exciting. But I gotta do this. It's Comic-Con after all.
