My problem with video games

This might come off as a jumbled mess, but I just need to get it out there. So, I feel like I obsess over buying video games(not playing them, but buying them). Like I will literally spend time looking at the games I want to buy. I kind of feel like a junky searching for something that’s going to bring back the feeling I had when I first started playing video games. When I have the games, I just find myself bored with them. No, I am not addicted to playing video games. Honestly, I can’t sit and down and play more than an hour or two without getting bored. I feel like I am always on the edge of being burnt out when it comes to gaming. I get that no matter how much a person a enjoys something they will always experience burn out. I also feel like I am not truly dealing with the problems in my life because all I ever seem to think about is video games. I am just kind of sick of it.

Honestly, it sounds like you have been experiencing burn-out already. If you're trying to reach a feeling that never comes, you probably need a break.

Collecting is a fun hobby, but I have to imagine video games can get expensive. I had a similar problem with playing cards. I had hundreds of decks sitting in a box until I forced myself to stop buying them for a while, then, (with some difficulty...) gave them to a man at a garage sale. If you can force yourself to, then try to sell them. As many as you can. That's a powerful mental cure for avarice- getting rid of what you have. You don't need it. :twi:
