Hey.  Y'know what really grinds my gears?  So, you ever been in class in high school, and the bell rings, but the teacher keeps the whole class after because of a couple of unruly students who were misbehaving?  Oh, and then they give you the ol' "the bell doesn't dismiss you; I do!" bullsh*t.  Isn't that cute?  So, it should go without saying that punishing innocents for the crimes of others is by definition one of the most unjust things you could possibly do.  But that aside for the moment, do these teachers not understand how high school class periods work?  Like, do you not get that we have another class right after this one, and we have to be on time?  Do you not understand that the next teacher isn't going to accept this as an excuse?  If we tell them that our previous teacher kept us after, they'll just say, "Not my problem.  You have a responsibility to be on time, here."  Do you not f*cking get that?!  I've actually had that exact scenario happen, in case you didn't guess.  Oh, and then the next class will inevitably be waiting to come in.  That's real nice.  I had a couple teachers that regularly pulled this crap.  Now, I haven't been in school for many years, but I frickin' hated when this happened to me.  Many a time I had to run as fast as I could to the next class.  Keeping the whole class after is bullsh*t.  Teachers should be fired for that sh*t.
