UNSCHEDULED UPDATE: I Think She Spoke.

So I was sitting on the couch tulpaforcing, nothing special, when I began to lose concentration (something which unfortunately happens all too often). I thought: "Great, I'm already losing concentration..." Then I heard: "And whose fault would that be?" My eyes shot open at once.

Now, I do tend to talk to myself a lot. I'm rather like Gollum in that respect... anyway, despite the fact that I frequently have conversations with myself, even while tulpaforcing, this time I knew it was different. I knew it was Twi who had spoken to me.

PROGRESS!

That's because cats are evil demon-spawn, sent from the bowels of Hell itself to torture humanity. (I don't like cats; can you tell?)

Sweeeet! Can't wait until you can began to invision her without even concentrating. (Although by then I think you're about done with the creation process) Keep us updated!

I'm interested to see how this turns out, might even have to make one myself.

Hopefully that Tulpa pasta is a bunch of balderdash.

It is. A tulpa is nothing more than your subconscious brought into a sentient form. It can't hurt you (except cause you some psychological damage, but if you make the tulpa correctly it'll have no reason to try and hurt you), it certainly can't come into the real world. The creepypasta was made for one reason: To be scary. Not to be factual, not to assist a person in the creation of a tulpa, it was simply designed to give you fear. (And it didn't do a very good job either, that creepypasta was mediocre at best.)

I want a Tulpa.

Then make one. It's well worth the effort.

Wait.... Is this serious?

Yes, this is serious. Did you think I've just been making all this stuff up for the last five blog entries?

I've tried and I failed.

Plus my parents would think I'm going insane, or converting to satanism.

That's...crazy!!!!

I want a Rainbow Dash tulpa now :o

Again, if you want a tulpa, make one. All it takes is a little bit of dedication.

I absolutely do not have the patience or motivation to take the time to make one. Also, I don't think fucking with my mind is a good idea...

I'd tried and failed twice before this current attempt. You just have to keep yourself motivated somehow. The fact that Twi spoke is a great motivator for me.

And about the whole parents thing, just don't let them see you tulpaforcing. Lock your door when you do it.

I didn't think I had enough patience to do this either, but I forced myself to keep at it, and now it's beginning to pay off. This may sound cheesy, but you really will be surprised what you can do when you put your mind to it.

Well, (this is all just my theory) If a tulpa is just your 'spirit energy' brought into a sentinent form, and if its personality is determined by you, then ideally, if one was to have a 'dark side' to one's self, than could that tulpa take on the personality of both the 'light' side and the 'darkside' or one of the two?

Last time I locked my door, my parents took me to  a doctor to have blood and urine tests to see if I was taking any drugs..... :/

It's not a good idea to make a tulpa that's a counterpart of yourself. That'll lead to it having identity issues. It's best to make a tulpa that is very different from you, in personality, in mannerisms, in everything.

...Wow. Well, sorry to say, but it sounds like as long as you're living under your parents roof, making a tulpa probably isn't going to happen. Unfortunate...

My parents do leave at times.

I'll just do it on a day when I'm home alone, well start to do it.

I'm kind of scared to make a tulpa, I don't know what will happen o_O

It might make me go insane or something...

Don't worry, unless you intentionally make your tulpa a total asshole, it won't have any reason to want to hurt you. Just respect your tulpa; be nice and don't treat it like garbage. If you love and care for your tulpa, you'll have absolutely nothing to worry about.

What happens if you make a tulpa and then you decide you don't want one around anymore?

There are ways to get rid of a Tulpa

I read something about having to imagine it being 'dissassembled by layers'

It sounds complicated, but it's really easy in my opnion.

You can eventually dispel it, but it's even harder than making the tulpa. So getting rid of a tulpa should really only a last resort. (Protip: If you're just starting out making a tulpa, it's best not to already be thinking of how to get rid of it. The tulpa won't appreciate that. After all, how would you like it if you knew your creator had created you and immediately intended to kill you?)
