Bahordrak (OC)
Bahordrak was a large, powerful, female dragon, there was nobody who could defeat her; Her stunning black scales and golden horns made her an impressive sight, and her presence alone struck fear in others. She was, truly, a mighty dragon.
Or at least she was yesterday, and had been for last several centuries; granted she couldn’t quite remember how old she was, or where she lived; though neither of those were on her mind at the moment.
She had gone for a hunt, as carnivores do, and everything seemed to be perfectly normal for the prideful dragon; she took flight, flew to a river, and admired her reflection, before looking for a scent...and then everything went black.
When she came to, she immediately knew something was off; she could tell that she was smaller than she was supposed to be, and she found standing to feel lot more unnatural, as if her anatomy was no longer quadruped. She took a while to fully comprehend all of this though, and when she did, it took a moment longer for her to react to it.
”Who are you and what have you…!” she cut herself short after hearing her voice, that was not the mighty roar it was supposed to be, rather she sounded...weak, pathetic even. She also realized that there was nobody to shout at, she was in some overgrown shack, there was nobody besides her in there.
She took a better look at herself, she was still black and golden, but that certainly was not a body of a mighty dragon, rather it was something lot smaller, and lankier; she didn’t know how to react, was this a dream? She noticed a small mirror on the ground, and picked it up, getting a look at her face; it looked fine, be it smaller in scale, and there was some hair that wasn’t there before, but what was that on her neck? She took a closer look, pulling her claw against it, she didn’t know much about the topic, but she could tell it was some kind of magical symbol, as evidenced by its...unnatural composition.
She didn’t know how long she stared at herself, trying to process what she was seeing, how could this be, certainly this had to be a dream, someone had ambushed her on her hunt at put her under some kind of spell, right? She just had to find a way to wake up, that’s it.
But it wasn’t, and after few days, she walked back to the shack and just sat down, staring at the now broken mirror in front of her; She had started things logically, learned to properly function in the new form she found herself in, and then investigated her surroundings; after that had brought no result, she decided to see if there was anyone around, and that really only made her realize the true situation.
She still didn’t know if this was some dream she was trapped in, or if she had actually been turned into a kobold, but it made her life awful regardless. First problem she came across, was that she couldn’t actually ask for help, as she was unable to explain her situation, for some reason, any time she tried to explain her true nature, the words just refused to come out, and instead, if she kept speaking, she’d just call herself a kobold; this was why the mirror was broken, she had broken it out of anger after trying and failing to get past this odd barrier.
The second problem was her physical size, nobody took her seriously, in fact, even kobolds didn’t want to help her, as they could tell she wasn’t one of them, and this of course frustrated her greatly, which caused her to end up in physical altercations, where her true weakness came apparent, as her opponents wiped the floor with her, sometimes literally.
This is where she realized the true horror of all of this, whatever this was, was clearly intentional, everything she had been proud of was gone, she was tiny, weak and unimpressive, she couldn’t even tell anyone what she used to be, and nobody had any interest to help her. It was like all of this was purpose made to humiliate her, and worst of all, it worked.
So there she sat, looking at the mirror, shattered like her pride, ruined like her dignity, she was Bahordrak, The Tiny kobold.
