I first joined the fandom because it was a welcome break from the other fandoms I was in: everyone was friendly and accepting, and people were very civil, relaxed, and fun. It was all the good parts of, say the furry fandom, except with none of the bad parts.

And then sometime between Luna Eclipsed and The Last Roundup, everything changed. We had become just like every other fandom, and nobrony is doing a damn thing to stop it.

That being said, I don't plan on leaving the fandom any soon, but I will say that I completely agree with your sentiment here.

as a fandom grows larger it's more prone to a mob mentality where one little spark can set off a whole bunch of silliness. No fandom is perfect. Best thing to do is just stick to what you enjoy and hopefully you'll avoid the idiots that are ruining it for everyone.

I'm just laughing all the way to end. I like these idiots; they bring me to reality.

Plus I enjoy how incredibly serious peeps are getting over a cartoon show for little girls. I love this show and this fandom, but at then end of the day it's still a show about rainbow colored ponies.

Starting to run out of popcorn over here. Can't wait till EQG hits.

I honestly can't see any difference. From now and then.

Sure, some people don't like new things. But what was the first thing to ever change the show we love? The Twilicorn. 

You bet things will go down, no matter how purehearted the fandom is. 

Things change and people prepare for the worst. 

After the Twilicorn we got EqG. 

That is said to be (half) cannon and it is YET a HUGE change to the series as whole. Humans in the Equestrian world? Will this change everything we know?

OF course people will be against it.

Umm, there have always been immature and annoying bronies, so don't even bring that point up.

The bronies had a mature fandom before, WHAT?!

Seriously, though. It was bound to happen. Minecraft is an example. At first, it was like "Minecraft, what's that?" and now it's full of children and all. I don't blame them, kids really can have fun with Minecraft, but it really has changed over time.

The brony fandom would go through similar changes.

I've accepted than, and if I do interact with the fandom, I usually just pay attention to those who are mature.

Though, people sometimes are just expressing opinnions, and I respect that. People go too far, though.

Not to mention how much hate non-bronies get from some bronies. Some bronies spam non-bronies with pony videos, hate on them, etc.

They don't realize that you're no better if you hate back, or even hate when they haven't shown hate.

i totally agree, some people in this fandom will drive me to drink. they changed twilight. so what? she's still the egghead we know and love. they began the EqG thing. again, so what? haven't we been doing human art of the girls looooong before this came up? and as for new bronies, i believe that they are like scootaloo, they just need somepony to take them under their wing, teach them the ropes. but yeah, people get butthurt too easily over stupid stuff.

I think it all started going downhill around The Last Roundup when everyone was crying because Hasbro modified one of their ponies on their own show.
