So many people bash this movie. But I loved it when I fist saw it and I still love it today.

To be honest, I have not watched it for a long time.

I saw it back in 2004, when I discovered it at the back of a Toys R Us. I begged my mom to rent it, and then we did, and then the movie terrified me and oribaby made me pee my pants.

But it's gotten much better in my memeory. It isn't like Mario has an established mythology they have to keep true to, so you could do whatever the f*** you want, and if that means making a Blade Runner city full of dinosaurs, then do that, because that's awesome.

And I'm not kidding when I say that Bob Hoskins as Mario is absolutely perfect casting.

Yes, it's a b-movie, but when I was a little kid it was freaking awesome. We all have those bad movies we keep close to our heart...this is one of them.
