Another Blog Post by THIS Guy, Better Rate It One Star
36. That's the amount of views that my last blog post apparently received. Perhaps if I want to gain the attention of a larger audience, I shouldn't start off with a topic on a common cycle, because the thought of the ending inevitably being one of those "and everybody stopped giving a damn" tropes when the reader has skimmed through half of the paragraph obviously isn't entertaining. So what can I do? Feature a research paper from some university webpage so the reader can later interpret it as "I know what you didn't do last night relating to a certain blog, and I don't let go of grudges"? I then realized that just as it isn't anyone's obligation to go to a website or for me to meet demands for a reader, it goes the same for the reader too.
I understand that some of my recent blog posts tend to be boring and irrelevant because it is not pop culture or a funny YouTube video or a video game review or even anything remotely of interest to a majority here, and now that I think of it, it is actually a huge motivator for me to keep typing. I can't exactly explain now of why it is, but I believe that it relates to competition. While it isn't good to lack the attention of readers when you're a blogger on any site, it gives a bigger understanding of how I could possibly present myself in my blog posts. Perhaps it isn't just the material, but also the size of the paragraphs? After all, most people won't bother to read a block of plain text, especially when they're on an informal social community environment (Where most people come for instant gratification through a few sentences in forum posts and the like.) and not Wikipedia (Where most people come exclusively for the information provided and are willing to acknowledge the usual amount of paragraphs in a single section for a topic that a person would have probably shown no interest for reading if it wasn't for Wikipedia being the website from which it is being read from.).
Unrelated: If you have been aware of this blog's existence since the beginning, you may have noticed that I have been posting much more regularly. I hope to continue posting on this blog at a comfortable pace. For anyone that has ever been genuinely interested with any of my posts, I say, "Thank You."
