Why do i do this to myself? so i happened upon this song, and figured, i should say a few things, so i made this blog, so i can say a few things about music i either like or dislike

 

lets begin with this

 

the song is supposed to be heavy with raw emotion, and express sadness, the song from what ive gathered is about her trying to get into a relationship but pushing too hard and wound up pushing him away, now thats all well and good, the lyrics arent too terrible, but its the video i have issue with, so what imagery does she use to convey her emotional regret? her swinging nude on a wreaking ball and making out/ pole dancing on a sledge hammer :/ excuse me what? i knew something was up when the video was marked "explicit" but it has nothing to do with lyrical content, it has to do with the video,the thing is, this kind of imagery is extremely jarring and is very out of place with the actual song, if you want to use the image of a wreaking ball tearing down a wall fine, but why are you swinging around on it nude? like WTF? the hell does that have to do with anything? this is not the kind of song for that imagery, if you wanted to do it right, you should just have a wreaking ball tearing down a building or something and stay away from that sterile white back ground you have with everything, theres not much else to note, the song is pretty boring

 

well thats that, if i find another song i either like or hate, ill make another entry

This isn't anything new. Strutting around half naked to create an image has been a common practice for pop star since the 80's. Why doesn't anyone here make a new blog post about Kesha's, Nicki Minaj's or Kesha's latest video? Oh right, they weren't in a crappy teen show that stopped being produced nearly 2 and a half year ago but declined in popularity way earlier. Every Hanna Montana fans has grown up and nobody should care about that show anymore. All of these pop stars were once innocent, cute-looking teens too, Miley isn't any different

 

Nudity sells, blame society for it

 

 

I dislike this image as much as you do, but you're better off making a rant about pop stars in general than just pointing out Miley in particular

That's what show business demands nowadays.  Sad, but true. 

 

But grinding her butt against the crotch of a married man and pretending to molest him with a big foam finger was too much.  :P
