The Ouya
I've been seeing this thing all over the internet as of late. Whenever I watch something on YouTube, most of the time, I'm going to get an advertisement of the Ouya. So, with all of this blatant advertising in my face, I figured I'd give my view on this thing.
Let me just start by saying that this microscopic cube of a system has the most confusing name imaginable. I'm not sure how you'd say "Ouya" without twisting your tongue the first couple times. But, regardless, that is irrelevant to what I'm talking about. The Ouya is advertised to have hundreds of games on it that are free to try. Well, honestly, when I went on their website, there was a games section that showed all of the available games on it (433, to be exact.) After skimming through the games, I barely found any of them recognizable. I mean, sure, I saw a few games on there I knew of. There were a few classic Sonic the Hedgehog games on there like Sonic CD and Sonic 3 and Knuckles. There was also an indie game on there I knew of called "Towerfall." But, in all honestly, that's about it. I'm not sure if that means I'm becoming out of touch with the gaming community, or most of these games are so obscure or bad, no one knows about them.
To me, the Ouya just doesn't look all that good. I'm sticking with the Wii U.
But, again, that's just me
