I wouldn't know about IGN's stance on Sonic, the review worried me since they loved Sonic Generations/Colors, but I also think that their Nintendo team has been non-existant/crap ever since Audrey Drake and Craig Harris left. It's also worth noting that reviews for this game has been all over the place

I'd say that Gameinformer's more likely to have the Sonic hate-boner

To be fair, there's bound to be some bias, you can't remain completely neutral. Gameinformer is the one who hates Sonic, making an article wondering when Sonic "will eventually die" is proof of that. IGN was pretty positive about Colors and Generations though, so I don't think they really hate Sonic. Lost World doesn't really look that interesting to me, honestly. I could be wrong and the game could be amazing, but oh well.
