Ah, Gilda, where to start? Ya know, I tried to love and tolerate her for part of the episode, I really did, much like Pinkie tried. Then this happened:

After that, and trust me, I try to be a calm and reasonable person, but I'm sorry, this is all I could think about Gilda for the rest of the episode:

Thankfully, Gilda got what was coming to her, Pinkie Pie style!!!

Also, this was the first episode where I started to notice that, well, the laws of physics don't exactly apply to Pinkie Pie. Understatement of the century!!!!!

Overall, this is a lovely early episode. It's got an unlikable antagonist, establishes character traits for a number of the Mane 6, and has some fun Pinkie Pie-Rainbow Dash shenanigans. All in all, a solid, classic episode, especially if you're a fan of all things Pinkie Pie.

Pinkie Pie: so committed to friendship she invented a flying machine just to spend time with Rainbow Dash. Not sure if incredible or stalkerish... or both.
