Sudden Absence from Last Night

Instead of trying to throw this news out to everyone individually, I'm simply going to create a blog, and redirect everyone to it ^^

Also, nice Luna banner, excellent job, Dreamwalker.

Yesterday was going to be perfect, the kind of day of which I dreamed since I was small. But instead of moderating, spending time in Skype chatting, something horrible attacked my body worst of all. If any of you are aware what a kidney stone is, then I probably don't need to say much more. But for those who don't, here's the story in a nutshell.

Several hours after my moderation promotion was pronounced, and I spent time chatting with staff in skype, trying to get to know everyone better while learning the ropes of how the site's mechanics work, I suddenly felt a harsh pain in the back of my lower left abdomen. My first thought was gas build-up, or perhaps something else related to my intestines. But when the pain didn't subside, and I couldn't go to the bathroom, I was doubtful.

Vomiting from how intense the pain was ensued, and to the emergency room I went, at ten at night.

Low and behold, just like when I was seven years old, I had a kidney stone.

By the time I got into an emergency table and a nurse got in, I was in so much pain that I'm pretty sure I know what childbirth for women must feel like, and I'm sorrowfully not joking. Thankfully, an IV aided me in both re-hydration and pain killing, which actually got me to regain some sanity from the pain. After a few hours, and some samples from certain bodily fluids to make sure I didn't have a kidney infection, I was sent home.

I'm glad to say that I feel fine today, still. No pain, no nausea. I do however have twenty-four hours worth of the same medicine in small pill form to kill the pain and nausea that the doctors used on me. So I should be set.

So yeah :P Sorry for vanishing so suddenly.

Ouch, being "promoted" and getting a kidney stone? That must hurt. I mean, the stress of the promotion will not be easy, that's for sure. But anyways, hope you feel much better, and good luck with your new post.

Abdominal pain is probably my absolute worst fear nowadays. I cannot imagine going through so much pain.

My most condolences, dude. More than glad you're okay, and I'm hoping you're up to defend Equestria (the forums) from the evil creatures (trolls) from the Everfree Forest (land of Trollville).

I know how you feel, a year ago september I went in for surgery to get my appendix taken out. Sharp annoying pain, nauseating feeling. #HospitalExperiences

You faced the situation like a man. Well done. This will be one to tell the grandkids.

If things start getting unbearably painful again, keep in mind that combining ibuprofen with acetaminophen can do wonders.
