• Physical Description

  Grey coat with slate grey scales. Emerald green eyes, blue mane and tail that have lighter blue highlights. His horn is dark red with a lighter red pattern in the lower center in the shape of a flame. In addition to the face and back scales all kirin have, Silver also has scales on his chest and belly. His sister also shares this rare trait.

• Backstory

  Silver Slate is a kirin stallion of average stature, working as a carpenter in a small village comprised of mostly other kirin. Silver moved around a lot when he was younger, and struggled to make friends as a result. His parents were also very distant emotionally and didn’t give him the tools he needed to be successful at friendships or life in general. Despite all this, Silver has overcome all these obstacles thrown his way. He is an independent kirin who thrives off exploring and adventuring. Silver cannot swim and he absolutely hates raisins. Some of his favourite foods include chocolate milk, sweets, cheese, raspberries, and white chocolate. When he’s not working or adventuring, Silver enjoys reading, writing, spending time with his friends, cooking, and baking. He also has a younger sister, Charlotte.

• Personality

  Silver is an ambivert, enjoying both times spend alone and with his friends. When he gets sad, he tends to isolate himself and lose interest in social activities. Silver is an independent kirin who sometimes needs to be reminded that his friends are there for him and wish to help him as much as they can. He has a generally kind and friendly demeanor but won’t be pushed around by anypony who tries to take advantage of it. He’s also very observant and often notices things that other ponies don’t.

   “Oh, yes, of course. That’s what I meant. You can give Charlotte and I a tour of your region, and that’ll give Ayla and Fukami some time for their date.” Silver replied. “Perhaps sometime later on we can come back to Fukami’s region and check it out, but for now I’d like to give these two some space.”

   Silver nods his head in agreement. “Yes, I believe you and Ayla have a date to get to, so we won’t hold you back from that. I believe Samurai has a tour in order for my sister, and of course I want to be there with her, so perhaps we should part ways here for now. Unless, of course, there’s something else you’d like to show us all while we’re all still here?” He asks.

   Fukami leads the kirin around the building, down several hallways, checking several rooms, but not able to find the mysterious singer. They head outside, but she’s nowhere to be found.
   “I agree, that is very strange, Samurai.” Silver remarks as he looks around, confused. “Why would it only be wet here and nowhere else? I have a feeling there’s more to this than what we’re seeing, but I’m not sure what, exactly.”

   “Investigate?” Silver repeats. “Does she remind you of somepony?” He inquires. “If so then I fully support whatever sort of investigation you wish to make. You know I’m always up for more adventures!”

   “Hey there!” He turns to greet the newcomers. Ayla and Charlotte also smile and wave.

   “Oh, I had never considered that. I do remember your shogun offering me citizenship, it’s just a big decision for me to make. Perhaps it’s something we would discuss later if that would be alright?” Silver asks as they arrive at the blacksmith.

   Silver nods his head, perking up a bit. “Yes, we had this issue some time ago. Thankfully, somepony found a cure, and we made sure to stash plenty of away in case this happened again. We have some back at our house, so when you’re ready, we can head over there. Also, Samurai, I don’t believe you heard my offer earlier, but Charlotte has made breakfast and we wanted to invite you both over. It’s totally up to you, you can stay and eat with us, or do your own thing after we get you the cure.” He suggests.

   At first, Silver is just as confused as Fukami is, until a thought hits him. “Oh, wait a minute. Samurai, you didn’t drink from the Stream of Silence, did you?” He asks, though based on Samurai’s actions, he was pretty certain of what had happened. “You wouldn’t know what that is because I never told either of your about it. For that, I’m sorry. The thought never crossed my mind.” He admits with a sigh.

   “Well, actually, Charlotte decided to make breakfast this morning, and we wanted to invite you both over.” Silver announced, walking inside the guest house. “Morning, Samurai!” He greeted cheerfully, but his cheerfulness soon turned to concern as he too noticed that his friend was trying to talk, but he wasn’t making any noise when he did so. “Uhh, are you ok, my friend?” He asks Samurai.

    Silver looks to the others and shrugs. “I don’t think there’s anything we had in mind, I believe you’ve more or less seen everything there is to see here. You and Fukami are free to do as you wish for the rest of the night. Charlotte and I are going to head home and do some drawing until bed. You should find that the guest house is well-stocked with food from the gardens you saw earlier, so feel free to eat as much as you want. Perhaps we should all meet at the blacksmith in the morning, how does that sound?” He asks.
    Ayla and Charlotte nod in agreement.

   The World Cup Begins!

   "Hey ponies! Bet you can't catch up with me!" Izzy giggled as she ran ahead, normally, she had a tennis ball at the end of her horn but this time as she ran she'd bump into this ancient ruin's pillar and then something would fall to the ground with the sound of clinking.
   
   "Huh?"
   
   She'd lower her gaze to peer upon it. "Oh!"
   
   Happily nodding, "a new decoration for my horn!" She'd nuzzle it with the tip of her horn before donning it like some time of new accessory to show to her friends.
   
   "Ow!" With a light green zap, she'd jump back and watch it fall to the ground, one again.
   
   "Hey! What was that?!" 
   
   Looking back towards her friends, she'd wondered if they had witnessed it. 
   
   "Izzy!! Wait up!!"
   
   Sunny would gallop as she followed behind.
   
   The small bell would zip and spark with green phosphorescent colors!
   
   "AHHHHH -- what is that?!"
   
   Sunny would take a few steps aside and then suddenly the sound of tearing could be heard as the fabrics of reality itself would begin to rip and warp in a form of spinning like a cyclone. Stars, moons, and the sound of thunder could be heard as many characters from different universes and dimensions would flail and panic as the chaos ensued. 
   
   "WHAT IS HAPPENING?!" a familiar voice would erupt as she'd land in the center of the ruins and look around. 
   
   "Oooof!"
   
   A purple alicorn with long, majestic legs would stand in place suddenly and try to uphold her dignity despite the lack of it from the fall out of nowhere. She seemed confused as she'd dart her eyes left and right, as if trying to register sense into any of this.
   
   "YAHHHHHHHHOOOOOOOOOOOO"
   Pinkie Pie's voice would now follow as she'd collapse on Twilight's back. "That was funnnn!" 
   
   A myriad of characters of all kinds of species and realms would unite in a series of confused mumbling and general gatherings. "What's happening? Why are we here?" 
   
   Twilight stops and looks down, noticing the bell. "It's broken."
   
   Izzy makes an innocent face and darts her eyes. "I... I found it like that." 
   
   Sunny makes a not-so-convinced expression. 
   
   Twilight proceeds,
   "The magic that emits from it is strong.... but we may need to restore it somehow... "
   Pinkie Pie casually rolls off of Twilight's back and slowly stands up in a playfully robotic manner like a transformer might. "Oooooh -- it's colorful!" 
   
   
   
   
   
   "Stand back!" Twilight would call towards everyone standing around it. "Make sure you're safe. Divided in confusion, we may not know how to handle this.. but united, through the power of friendship, we may be able to figure this out!"
   
   As Twilight would speak this with booming authority of a majestic nature, the mixture of different characters were far too diverse and complex to simply merge "through friendship" as she had said. 
   
   
   "This is not going to be easy, is it?"

   Weaving a Magical Silver Silk Friendship (1x1 with Princess Silky)

   The cold wind blew through Silver’s grey coat as he stepped outside, having just purchased some supplies for the road ahead. Ever the adventurer, the daring kirin had just finished a climbing expedition through Ghastly Gorge, and then proceeded to trek through the Everfree Forest before stopping quickly in Ponyville before heading to the next place of interest. However, the weather seemed to have different plans in mind, a torrential downpour having started mere minutes ago. Now he was on the lookout for some place to temporarily hold up, as he hurriedly went off in a random direction, keeping his emerald green eyes on alert for anyplace he could use for shelter.
   A few minutes of galloping later brought him to a forested area just outside of town. Here, it didn’t appear that anypony frequented the area. Silver took note of the overgrown pathways and tall weeds as he took a moment to dry off under one of the larger trees he found nearby. The forest may provide some relief from the rain, but the wind still howled through the trees dreadfully. He took off once more, hoping to find some sort of abandoned cabin he could weather the storm out in. As if on cue, Silver spotted such a place coming up on his left and made a beeline for the front door. He cautiously looked around for any signs of somepony having been around recently and found nothing. Just to be safe, he knocked on the door a few times before entering, finding the door to be unlocked.
   He slowly walked through the cottage, still being alert of anycreature that could have decided to make this place their new home. But the only noises he heard were his own hoofsteps, and the quiet pattering of rain on the roof. Being a kirin, the darkness of the house posed no real issue, as he easily produced a small flame that adequately lit up his surroundings. The place had clearly been abandoned by the owner, judging by the complete lack of furniture, food, and the amount of dust that accumulated on the mantle of the great fireplace that occupied the middle of the cottage’s only room. A few small logs that had been left inside allowed the kirin to get a fire going and at the very least, warm himself up. Yes, this would do quite nicely until the storm moved on.

   It's a beautiful day. The sun is shining. The wilderness is quiet. Any mythical or supernatural animals are nowhere in sight and nowhere to be heard. However...
   Somewhere in the middle of this specific forest lies a lone cherry blossom tree. Can this be right? It seems out of place surrounded by all this green.
