    Is this thread really necessary? I think IP.Calendar and profile comments can cover birthday tracking and greeting well enough. But still, happy birthday to Diamond Mint and Leatherneck.

    To answer the OP's question, yes, my opinion of the show would probably be different if the characters weren't ponies. Nothing to do with the MLP brand, but part of the reason I enjoy watching it is because the non-human characters create a feeling of high fantasy, and help to establish that Equestria is a very different world from Earth. I also generally tend to find the animation of cartoon animals very admirable - there are details they have to animate that they wouldn't have to with humans, like tails, manes, and a quadruped walking cycle. Not to mention that Faust's art style makes them look so cute, I want to hug them.

    Sorry for not answering this thread earlier. I understand why you'd all want a video games discussion section, but you've got to remember that we're a My Little Pony community, not a gaming one. For our purposes, anything that is not about ponies is technically off-topic, and the more off-topic sections we add, the less clear it becomes what people come to this forum for. We currently have three on-topic sections and four off-topic ones. At this point, I wouldn't add any further off-topic sections before we add some more on-topic ones to balance them out. Keep all gaming threads in the Everfree Forest for now, and add a gaming tag to them if you want to keep them organized.

    Eww... do I see Internet Explorer < 9? Its rendition of the forum theme is disgusting. EDIT: I thought this was a "site problem" topic because the forum in the screenshot is rendered really badly (no rounded corners anywhere, the "board" backgrounds are missing, the signposts are cut off, etc.). I just realized Lyra started this to show off that he had the last post in every single section.

    Possibly. Possibly not. As I said, I haven't even started planning it yet. The default mobile skin is pretty spartan looks-wise so it loads super-fast, and I don't want to bog it down too much.
