"Feel better?" she asked. "Who was that?"

"So your an expert on dealing with problems? Or is that your only bit of advice?"

Nightfall was still lying down.

"Either way, it's not the solution to everything.somethings work better unnoticed, Obsidian. And, well... You haven't been quite yourself recently..."

 She turned around and peered at him. "Yes, I am a sort of expert on problems, actually. What good is there on running? It only makes it worse. I can actually help him if he was in custody but every moment he runs he makes it worse. I may not have been myself recently but I am certainly myself now."

She pondered something for a moment, wondering if she should tell him.....well why not. He might as well know.

"Oh and by the way. The letter I got from the school, the one when I first arrived that mentioned my blood line, we're related Nightfall, like most Alicorns are. I wasn;t going to mention it but maybe now you can understand why I haven't been myself lately."

Dude, maybe he visited while you were gone? Maybe no sooner then I ported you out, he walked up to the nurses desk. There was at least a 30 minute minute window there. Lets not jump to conclusions.

I think its more that they figure if you watch a show meant for little girls and like it you must be gay, which assumes all gay guys are girly....which isn't true. 

The concept of the show having gotten a bit darker since S3 began, arguably since the finale of season two, has been brought up since the Crystal Empire, and has only been talked about more, since. I do think there's been some new themes popping up in several of the new episodes that aim to be just as much for adult comprehension as young kids. I'm fine with it; I think the show is evolving a bit, and since I personally have found S3 to be the best season so far, I approve.

 

 

I'm afraid 'some dark imagery references' is all I can give you on that one. Luna invading dreams is not a dark concept unless you choose it to be. The way it was portrayed was actually intended to soothe and to reassure; she's the guardian of your dreams. She obliterated the Headless Horse for Scootaloo in her dream before appearing before her, for example. So yeah. That doesn't really count, in my opinion.

 

I also think some of your other examples are victims of 'purposefully trying to see darkness in something', too, but I don't have as big an issue with them as the quoted segment.

 

Overall, yes, the show has gotten a bit more of age/darker, whatever you want to call it. Shows evolve. It's expected.

Yeah, I agree with this. Most of the examples you mention above seem more like you're trying really hard to see dark imagery. Sombra wasn't killed, his physical body was just destroyed, much like how it was before. In One Bad Apple, they didn't try to kill Babs, they wanted to humiliate her. In Wonderbolts academy, that wasn't the first time ponies had to be saved. In Sonic Rainboom one could argue Rarity was allowed to fall to her death, but really that was just the tool used to get Rainbow Dash to do a Sonic Rainboom.

I could go through the list but really I think you are trying too hard to see darkness. I mean you can find darkness anywhere if you look for it in a certain perspective.

I love Season 3. The show has evolved into more complex story lines. I think thats really all there is to it

Nova gave a disgruntled look when she heard Discord laughing although he wouldn't be laughing once he saw the magic she was intending to use to kill every unworthy pony in Equestria and start with a new slate. She closed her eyes and thought fo a minute "We can't attack Canterlot straight on even with myarmy as it is and with you and Chryslis it would be tought especially if the harmony wielders got involved." Nova paced around on the rocky floor her mind got an idea. "We shall split our forces although that seems drastic but it will force Celestia to spread her forces. So Discord you can have your fun where you choose and I'll have Chrysalis take care of Manehatten first the least gaurded city while I head for Cloudsdale to retrieve one of my books." Nova got a big grin on her face all that was needed was the crystal heart to split Sombra's power between them and then not even the Harmony users would be able to stop them.

Discord transformed into a military uniform and saluted Nova "Yes, Sir, Ma'am! Fillydelpia is calling. You can count it among those under -our- control." 

Discord vanished in puff of smoke and reappeared in Fillydelphia. "One order of total Chaos coming up!"

Discord had a playful smirk cross his lips. "So your master plan is....equality?" He burst out laughing, rolling on the ground and wiped a tear from his eye "Oh my dear little pony, you are a GEM!"

Discord floated back up in the air, that same smirk still on his face. "Alright, so what is it you want me to do? Where would you like to dominate first?"

Speaking of high school, I was planning to make a high school roleplay soon, if anyone wanted in on it. I'm not planning on it being nearly this dramatic, but I want it to have some aspects of high school life, i.e. homecoming (dance and game), prom, cheerleaders, nerds, jocks, emos, etc.

 

Anyone want to join when I make it?

No one was at your throat Parso and I'm sorry if you don't like me and your plan to Reboot without my vote backfired on you. Ponies were just saying the truth...you don't post much...you contribute very VERY little to the RP...and might I remind you, you were very quick to jump in the romp fest despite being with Cherished. I think it was pretty clear you were shocked and upset that it took the turn of a possible foal, but if nothing else I hope you learned that in life, that kinda shit happens. 

I honestly would rather you not leave, but at the same time, I won't beg you to stay either. If you want to fix an Rp, then help fix and don't keep fighting or bickering or adding to the chaos.

Obsidian's right. What you're doing in the rp isn't realistic at all. You somehow manage to leave, fight pirates, be assumed dead, and return in three days? It doesn't make sense. And I know this is part of being fifteen or so hours ahead of everybody (I know how it feels), but you haven't been posting and contributing nearly as much as the rest of us. I don't think it's your place to call a "restart" and say that Obsidian doesn't have a say in it.

Listen guys, I honestly think this can be salvaged. Dorm life and College life is Drama. think High School but for adults where the pranks are meaner, the drugs are harsher and reality really blows because in many cases you aren't living at home anymore. I got all of us together in the same room a while ago to get things out in the open and let things fall into place. Nightfall will recover, Obsidian is going back to class as is Vinyl. yes there is a love....err...Square...between Vinyl, Nightfall, Whirlwind and myself, but thats also part of college life. Really, everything was going good till the Love Potion shit happened, but it happened and I'm not made at Star at all because spiking drinks and slipping drugs to ponies DOES happen in school. Its sad but it does. I think if we all focused on keeping the RP more real and down to earth, it would get better.

Look, Parso, some of the things you do is part of the problem. In college shit happens. I wanted to add some flare to my story and a college student getting knocked up after someone drugged her isn't exactly out of the norm. It was my idea. Vinyl decided to follow suit, followed by Rockshire, despite the plans she has. I personally feel I have been pretty damn important to even keeping the RP alive since shank has been gone. Its not fair to just call reset and say I don't have a vote. Forgive me if I wanted to add a little reality to the "sex" part of the Rp.

I mean come on dude, you VANISHED........then fought pirates....then came back...I mean how in the hell does that fit into the "Dorm Life" theme?

If my part in this Rp is so small that you think you can make major changes to it without a vote from me, then you guys can have it. I'll write myself out. 

Then again, I am talking to a pony with a GUN for a cutie mark........maybe that should have been my cue to assume realism wasn't really the theme here...

I have to agree on this....I mean what started out as a laid out plan to teach cause and effect (Sleeping with drugged mares and then omg now you knocked them up) has kinda turned into a rubber stamp of what happens if you have sex in this Rp, I had no idea ponies were so fertile. Then, Parso, your character has this amazing talent of being right where he needs to be, knowing exactly where the action is and just being there. I mean wtf? Dogboots, I'm sorry dude but the guards wouldn't go through your room, mess it up and then just leave. They would still be there waiting, hiding. 

I don't know...seems that the quility of the rp is just going downward despite my best efforts to get it back on track sense the dance.

And I agree with Echo, how you managed to join the cast of Pirates of the Caribbean, fight pirates and come back in a matter of three days is just astounding to me .

Star felt a small welp escape his mouth as he read the message. His pupils narrowed and his heart seemed to stop. He looked back up at Dogboots still with the same expression of shock. Even through everything that had happened it was still his. He should be distraught but he was at least for one brief moment happy.

 

"It's mine..."

"How can you know that? Its too early to know...." She sighed and waved a hoof dismissively then looked at Nightfall.

"Yes Nightfall, I know you were in the ICU and I feel terrible for it. I just want the drama to stop. I thin everyone has said their peace here. I need to return Nightfall to the hospital. I think I have enough magic to transport him. Vinyl, help me teleport please? I'll see you there"

She stood next to Nightfall and vanished in a cloud of frost and snowflakes then reappeared in his hospital room. She picked up her cell phone and called the Caterlot guard. "Hello, Canterlot Guard? Dogboots is at the Red Hoof Inn, room 13. He just left for a pub." She hung up. "He needs to deal with his problems and stop running. No one knows better that fact then me."

Star slumped down against the wall, everything seeming crashing down on top of him. If Dogboots was the father... he didn't know what he would do. But he did know one thing for certain; he would make sure he had nothing to do with it.

 

Star felt a slight trickle down his eye, lifting a hoof to see what it was. He already knew in his head, he was tearing up. What an emotional wreck I am. "It's my fault..."

She walked over to Star and placed a hoof on his shoulder. "Star, you always have a choice. Always. You are not doomed to be with somepony just because she may or may not be pregnant or even if the foal is yours. You can still be a father and still not date the mother. Rockshire is a brilliant artist, but shes a slut. You deserve better, Star. Let Dogboots have her. frankly they deserve each other."

She looked over at Nightfall.

"Nightfall and I are not together but I will not keep his foal from him. I think he may still find his spine buried somewhere deep inside of him. I think he can pull himself together. Yes Star, this is your fault, but only as far as the love potion goes. After that is ponies personal choices. Don't feel guilty for their mistakes"

She just shook her head as Rockshire left. "Coward. Its so easy to spread your legs but not so easy to confront those you hurt. GENTLECOLTS! Stop your fighting, its not helping anything. You will draw the guards here!"

She moved over to Vinyl, standing proudly next to her mate.

"We have to put this behind us everypony. We have to focus on classes and we have to focus on raising these foals. Star Keeper, I know your hurt and trust me, Dogboots is going to pay for what he did, and frankly if it did turn out to be Dogboots, which we can find out, I honestly don't think you should take care of it. Why should you pay the expensive and be with an unfaithful mare?"

"Not yourself? Well your other half regardless of its reasons has costed me my BUCKING JOB AND I GOT CAMPUS POLICE AND CPD ON MY TAIL! It's going to take more than sorry to undo the damage your so-called "other half" did." Dogboots said angrily at Obsidian. It was difficult for him to retain logic for him.

She glared at Dogboots

"Beg pardon but I don't think I fucked Rockshire did I? I am not a member of the school staff, am I? I'm sorry your secret got leaked but there wouldn't be a secret had you acted more maturely."

She turned to Star. "Say your mind Star, this is the place for it"

She turned to vinyl, getting a little dizzy.

"I love you too vinyl."

"Alright, so Dogboots messed up. He slept with a student and Vinyl tells me I was the one who told on him. I was not my....self.....and I am so sorry BUT that doesn't change the fact that what he did was wrong. Rockshire, you should have told Star about your feelings for Dogboots. It was wrong for you to keep such a secret. You cheated and no pony respects a cheater. Bottom line. My other half may be cold and darker but she has a sense of justice. I'm sure she did what she did because she thought it was wrong. Other then that all I can say is I'm sorry.

Parso and Vinyl, you two need to decide who you want to be with and what roles each of you will play in the foals life, just as Nightfall and I must do. 

Rockshire, you must decide who you want to be with. Star Keeper is a jerk and an idiot, but I think he is still a good pony. We need to get all this out so we can go back to classes and on with life as either friends or enemies.

So the whole gang was here minus Whirlwind and Star Keeper. "Alright everyone, we have a serious situation on our hands and I'm sad to say I think we all played our own parts in it. Of course the colt who caused the chain reaction is not here, its up to us to solve this problem. Vinyl and I are pregnant, Rockshire and Dogboots are sleeping together and Parso and Nightfall are now fathers. Speaking of Nightfall he should be here."

Well, you know my position concerning your work. Its pretty damn good. There were one or two things that could use some touch up, but I think its a great addition to your growing catalog.

i think it ok to have a Alicorn in a story if it serves a purpose to make the story more enjoyable, as for people who have there OC as Alacorns yeah it seems kinda smugy but its personal preference, its not like there gona use "im an alacorn" in an actual discussion

 

how ever i have a big issue with them in RP because i hate any form of god moding and i think the only alacorns who should be in a RP are Luna Celestia and Candice.

I think that when they introduced Cadance into the series they really opened the doors for Alicorn OC's. She doesn't serve any important role when we first meet her. She doesn't have strong powers like Luna of Celestia. Obviously Alicorns are very rare, but I think if you can explain their background enough, you can get away with it. The trouble is balance. You don't want to make them to OP. I have an Alicorn OC but she rarely, if ever, uses her wngs. She uses her magic and I play her as I would a Unicorn, where she has a talent in one general area of magic and that talent is symbolized in her cutie mark.

Balance is the key. Master that with an understandable backstory and you have yourself and Alicorn OC for any purpose.

This thread, well destroyed my chances... Seeing especially how many people hate alicorns, and especially, Ponysonas... I really don't know what i should do...

 

You see, i created my ponysona, long before i joined the forums, i thought it was perfect, i thought, this is it, i made myself. I could never satisfy myself with being a pegasus, nor a unicorn, nor an earth pony, but when i tried on the alicorn accesories, it felt correct to me... In my mind, even it being an alicorn, made sence, because i created a story of mine in my head, but i do not wish to share it because i know how many people will dissagree... I never knew how the fandom reacted, and now, that i know, i feel sad....

 

Now, after joining the forums, i'm afraid that one day someone will come up and scream with words like "ugh, your ponysona is an alicorn? Get out of here. You suck." It feels, like this thing will be the one that won't let me fit in here... This will be the problem that won't let me find any friends.

 

What should i do?... Please help...

Nah, I was the same way. My ponysona was an alicorn long before I joined these forms. Yes, I may not be able to join as many Rps with her and yes sometimes I take a little crap over her but over time as people have watched me RP, they see I can handle it. That opens the door for more Rps. You can't help who your ponysona is, its very personal, so don't even try. Just go with it and peoples opinions be famned.

well, as somepony who has a ton of warning points, i approve this thread.

i may lose my temper allot (bloody derpy threads i swear....) and then get banned..... then rage some more, i'll calm down a acknowledge that the mods were only doing there job. also i kind have allot to be thankfull to the mod and the forum because i would not have met my special some pony if not for iy

Hello everypony!

I was just involved in a topic that made me stop and think for a moment. Everyday we log on here and the sight works. We can post and play and role play and show off our art, etc. Most of the time all these features work flawlessly and of course this does not happen by accident. Our Tech Admins work hard to keep the place running, our other mods protect us from trolls. 

Even though we may not always agree with what they do or don't do. Even though we may have our problems, I think we should take a moment and just say thank you for building this place and working so hard for us regardless of our differences.

So, from Obsidian Winter, pony of the Cold Winter Night, Thank you, each and every one of you. Would all of ya'll please join me by posting your thank you's!!!!!!!
