  1. I've actually seen a couple of Rainbow Power Trixies out there :D

This one is my favorite :D

That one is rather stunning, though, I'm not sure about the red streaks. They work but I feel like she's going to start murdering people.

Hm, not really my sort of art style but they're good regardless. I generally prefer a bit closer to show style myself, or the more "realistic" style used for "epic" art, the latter of which is my favourite because I love high fantasy.

    Spoiler for picture dump:

On a completely irrelevant note, check this guy out:

This is Big Hat Logan from Dark Souls, a sorcerer of some renown. However I'm not posting this picture so I can talk to you about him - I am posting so I can ask you a question.

Why isn't Trixie's hat this awesome?

What is this blasphemous filth? Another Lunar zealot claiming they will "build a free world?" Ha, I laugh at that proposition.

Will you feel safe when Luna takes away your family to be executed for some perceived crime? Will you feel free when the shadow of the Night Police follows you around every corner?

Burn away the darkness with the light of the sun! For peace and justice; the Solar Empire!

  4. @@EquestrianScholar,

Fixit watched in a state of awe as the previously dull orbs of metal began to shine with a light of their own, until it seemed that a miniature sun and moon were in the throne room. Technology was useful, practical and accessible but sometimes it took magic to make something truly amazing.

Fixit waved a dismissive hoof at Celestia's offer "Nah, that's a unique item, made specially for you, ma'am. If I make more it'll lose its value. It was meant only for you, as thanks for your benevolent rule."

  5. Personally, I like the idea of Trixie owning a hovercar. Not only would be Great and Powerful, but it'd be lacking wheels, which, is rather glorious :D

Couldn't find a picture of Trixie with a hovercar, so I'll just post this.

    The struggle within.

What struggle? The Great and Powerful Trixie needs only her daily packet of peanut butter crackers.

  6. Wheels aside, a Miata is not great and powerful at all. My grandma has one and I've borrowed it a few times, so I should know (I'm pretty sure my Exploder is faster). Trixie would have to own a hovercar of some kind, a hover conversion DeLorean at the very least.

Or she could use a hovercraft, perhaps? Versatile AND no wheels, though I suppose not quite flashy enough.

  7. Yes, time travel creates a paradox, and thus making it impossible.

I've got one for you. it's called the Paradox of the Hanged Man.

A man is condemned to death and the judge declares that he will be hanged on a morning in the following week. But the day will remain a total mystery. he will know the day only when the guard will come knock on his cell door. The only thing he knows is that the hanging cannot take place on the week-end.

Back in his cell, the prisoner starts to think about his sentence. Now, he knows it cannot take place on a Friday because if he survives up until Thursday, then the hanging can only take place on a Friday thus cannot be a surprise.

Now, it cannot be a Thursday either because he already established that it cannot be a Friday. So, if he survives up until Wednesday and knowing that it cannot be a Friday then the Thursday will not be a surprise.

Now, using this logic, he also rules out Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday.

He now thinks that the hanging will never take place.

On the next week, the guard comes knocking on his door on the Wednesday, which despite all this thinking is a total surprise to him.

    The judge was right.

I did not come up with this paradox. In fact, it is a very ancient one. So, what do you think ?

This is a bit like a self-fulfilling prophecy, good find. :D

This one is fun, I won't go into it in detail now since I'm typing on a phone:

  8. Well this is hard to answer, because my Best Pony is in a constant state of flux. For the ponies that most frequently occupy the top spot, I have a lot in common with, the most common (right now at least) being Twilight (I love intellectual pursuits, reading, and hate disorganisation), AJ (I can be very stubborn and brutally honest, and would consider myself to be a hard worker) and Trixie (I can try a bit hard to impress, and can be somewhat arrogant from time to time.)

  9. Well, in respect to their treatment of other pirates they seem honourable, though how many actually upheld the code? Just because someone claims to have a code doesn't mean they uphold it.

There doesn't seem to be much about chivalrous treatment of non-pirates, so I'm going to have to say they are no more than brutal brigands. Where, precisely, is the honour in looting and killing (mostly) innocent men and women?

  10. Impetus

    @@Demirari,

Impetus chuckled at the Princess's words. The constant, petty squabbles that the Empire's two generals engaged in were much like the arguments of an old married couple, though Impetus doubted that there was any underlying love between the two. Both generals were binary opposites, incapable of even understanding the doctrine of one another. It was no wonder that Celestia had been looking for new advisors for the war; without a third party, the Princess would have been torn between the two viewpoints as the generals fought one another at the expense of the Empire.

Impetus dropped the smile as he responded "While often amusing, this bickering could become a serious problem. I fear that Your Majesty may one day have to rid yourself of one or the other, or otherwise find somepony more suited to the role."

The Princess's next statement sounded more melancholic, and ended with something like a sigh, as if the Princess wished to continue but would or could not. Though wary of upsetting his liege lady, Impetus decided to follow up on this.

"Events, my lady?" he asked softly "Does Your Majesty wish to talk about it?"

(OOC: Damn, my phone doesn't like colours or underlining.)

  11. Ah. Damn - you're really missing out on a great issue :D I know some people scan the comics and make them accessible through YouTube. Perhaps you can look into that? :D

And because the Great and Powerful Trixie doesn't trust round pizza, duh :D

The only thing that's more untrustworthy than round pizza is wheels >_>

    img-2859287-1-large.png

Hm, I'll look into it then.

And I was more getting at where the thing actually came from. Trixie's distrust of wheels is well known in these parts. :P

FEAR THE WHEELS. REPORT ANY UNAUTHORISED WHEELS YOU SEE TO YOUR NEAREST WHEEL OFFICER.
