  1. I can't ever see it working. Unlike G1, FiM's world was never made with humans in mind, and even with EQG, they had to make humanland another world entirely.

Besides, I don't know how she would without feeling forced

  2. I really don't mean to upset anyone with my response, that is if I do. It's really more about my thoughts as the pair itself and me not caring about BG ponies, rather than the idea of same-sex(which I'm all for)

It's really hard to tell watching these characters together whether the people making this show are actually trying to push the envelope or if they're just queer-baiting and fan-baiting.

I'm gonna have to side with this here. I'm all for seeing more same-sex couples in children's cartoons, and I think it'd be great for FiM to jump on that ship, but with THIS particular pair, I can't help but meet it with a very resounding "meh". Honestly to me, it feels like just would come off as more fan-pandering(especially with them being BG ponies rather than even somewhat important characters) rather than a genuine attempt at introducing same-sex couples into the show, especially with how out of their way they teased it in SoL and considering the origins of the pairing by the fandom("Lyra's sitting funny next to Bon Bon! Insta-couple!" Granted, that's how pairings usually form in this fandom :P).

It reminds me of the whole Korrasami thing in the end of LoK. While I was really happy to see the creators go that route and make that pairing become a thing at the end, I could understand why some fans didn't like and felt it came off as pandering to Korrasami fans(though to its credit, I felt that pair was handled very well and subtle as opposed to how incredibly obnoxious the LyraBon teasing in SoL got)

Again, I'm all for seeing more gay and lesbian couples in the show and if the show's gonna do it with Lyra and Bon Bon, then that's great, but in this particular instance I'm sorry I just can't care. I'd much rather see it come out a main or secondary character or with new characters all together

  3. just because she's forgiven doesn't mean she's instantly redeemed. Like Discord, and SS, she has to take steps toward betterment. It's a process.

Time will tell if she's 100% redeemed or not

I keep seeing this brought up, but the thing is, and my problem like I said earlier is that unlike Discord and Sunset, who've both have had episodes and an entire movie respectively centered around their redemptions, Starlight gets a fucking minute long montage of being redeemed, forgiven, and accepted with no effort whatsoever, and honestly based on that montage I'm not expecting any sort of follow up any time soon

  4. Isn't a season pass nothing more than buying all major DLC together for a slightly lesser price? Whats wrong with that?

The way both Season passes and DLC is handled is the problem. Like I said, ideally season passes aren't a bad idea: Getting all of the DLC that's gonna come out and save some cash in the long run as opposed to buying it separately. The problem is

    - A lot of season passes cost the same as the base game, often doubling the price

    - DLC itself is often handled poorly, a lot of times it's either something minor like extra weapons, costumes, multiplayer map-packs, and other content that is otherwise better just left in the original game(and in some cases, the DLC is on the disc). It rare for it to actually feel like additional content, and is usually not worth the value

    - Sometimes you'll get rare cases of cancelling DLC, like WB not releasing the DLC and cancelling season passes for the Wii U version of Arkham Origins(and keep in mind NINTENDO had to refund everyone and not WB, which is double bullshit)

Season passes can work if the devs and publishers can put out enough content that actually justifies the DLC/Season Pass's content, but it rarely, if ever happens

  5. I don't think FiM needs another spin-off, and EQG is doing just fine. I mean, when you think about it, FiM almost got everything it needs:

    - A Long Running and popular series

    - A successful Spin-off

    - A Comic Book series

    - Tons of merch aiming at several demographs

    - A theatrical movie coming soon

All its really missing is a Transformers crossover and and actual video game, and that shouldn't be too hard to do considering there are plenty of people(including Wayforward, a developer with a solid reputation), so I don't think it should be too hard to get one done. But as it stands, I don't think they need another spin-off. If they ever want make another, orgo back to that CMC preschool show idea that'd be fine, but otherwise I think they're fine with EQG, it still bringing in the dough

Seriously though Hasbro, a Rainbow Dash Transformer, I'd be all over that

  6. I really love most of the games the put out. Metal Slug is one of my favorite run-and-gun arcade games ever and their fighting games are top notch, especially King of Fighters and Garou.

That said their fighting game bosses can go suck a big one

  7. Harassing other users is usually grounds for banning on any site and not just Derpibooru. Honestly you had it coming if you were the one doing the harassing

Personally I think the userbase can be pretty shit which is why I avoid its forums and comment sections(despite a cool person every now and then), but otherwise I like it for finding great pics and artwork and nothing else...yeah

  8. She's come back a couple of times in the comics in Main Series #21 and #22(Manehattan Mystery) and Friends Forever #6(Trixie and Rainbow Dash). Don't let the comic's infamous reputation fool you, both were really good

As for the show, I don't know, but I wouldn't be surprised if she came back in S6 considering how popular she is

  9. I remember I used to watch this show quite a bit whenever it aired. It was a nice surprise considering I didn't much coming out of Disney Channel/Toon Disney apart from Recess

  10. it's incredibly out of character of him.

    What character? :P

But in all seriousness, he's meant to be the "nice, cool kid".I doubt the writers would make him write him that way, it would make fans somehow hate him even more

That said, his relationship with Sunset is something I'd like to see them touch up on, it's actually interesting to think about how he ended up with someone as much of a bitch as early Sunset
