  3. I gotta say, I love that response to Lil' Wayne... Anyway, I mostly stick to EDM, but there's some 80's techno I like, considering i grew up around a mother who obsesses over the 80's.

  5. Ooooh this is my type of thing! I absolutely LOVE both Deadmau5 and Skrillex, and here's why, starting with Deadmau5: The first song i heard was "Some Chords" (off of his album, 4x4=12), and I instantly downloaded everything I could find by him. I started off with "Vanishing Point" (my favorite song of his by far) and I went on from there. I love the compression, 128 bpm, variation and overall composition of his beats, and the fact that he overpowers and then compresses his synth and bass-lines gives his mixes a very powerful yet beautiful sound. And he just doesn't do the same old thing, he has multiple styles of mixes. In comparison, "Not Exactly" and "Professional Greifers" sound completely different, the first being an overall trance and dance experience with a calm atmosphere to it, while the other is powerful and has an overall aggressive nature and atmosphere. This in mind, I personally believe this is the result of him sorting out feelings and thoughts while in the creative process, and therefor infusing a piece of his personality in each mix. I also like his very early work, Project 56 and Get Scraped. And now for Skrillex: His music is the most mindfreaking sound I have ever heard, and it's constantly getting better. I first heard "My Name Is Skrillex", and couldn't think afterwards. Of course I downloaded his stuff too, and my favorite song to date is "Roughneck Bass [Full Flex]. I love his electro-house roots and mixes, and the glitch sound. I can't get enough of it, it's not dubstep, it's not glitch, it's not electro-house. It's a nice combination of all three, and gives him a distinct sound compared to most artsists of those genres. I can't quite grasp the concept of how he does it, but it sounds amazing! And that concludes my input.
  6. To the responses of Deadmau5's early stuff (I can't quote stuff from my phone ), I actually like Don't Give Me Tapes from Project 56, and I love every song off of Get Scraped, especially Overdraft, Edit Your Friends, and Careless... I just didn't think of mention his early material although I like it just as much as the rest ^.^
  7. ALL of Deadmau5... I literally feel the emotion he puts in his songs (like HR 8938 Cephei, Brazil 2nd Edit, So There I Was, The Veldt, Jaded) and his songs are just masterpieces... My all-time favorite song has to be Vanishing Point (it literally got me through social anxiety in highschool). I also like Skrillex, Knife Party, Daft Punk, Wolfgang Gartner, Alex S., and Omnipony. Any Artist I listen to, I get into and listen to all of their songs. Aside from that, I also like make my own stuff, using Deadmau5's standard bpm of 128 and styling after his amazing sound, while still being original

    technology Operating Systems

I use Windows XP Professional on my HP Pavilion from 2003 ( I REALLY need to upgrade) and Android Jellybean 4.1 on my Galaxy S3. I use my laptop for music software: FL Studio 9 Professional ( soon to be 10), Ableton Live 8 ( no idea how to use it quite yet) and Cubase 5 (haven't installed it yet). Every once in awhile, I'll tether my phone and use my laptop to jump on here, but because it's so old it cant handle anything non-music related. I use my phone for EVERYTHING else ( including this)
  9. Thank you! I'll be sure to check it out when I return home, and I'm sure I'll return to ya guys for more questions in the future. I have FL 9 xxl producer edition, and I'm not sure if i have that first instrument, but i do have the over 2 that are mentioned

  14. Hi guys! My name is Gr33n Foxx, and I decided to join the herd and to meet new bronies and ponies (there's a severe lack of them where I live)! About a year ago, I took a friend's advice to give deadmau5 a listen. I was instantly hooked, and decided to branch out into the world of electronic music. I stumbled upon many amazing house and dubstep artists, one of which happened to be Alex S. I liked his Nyan Cat dubstep mix and decided to download all of his music and give the rest a listen. At first, I never gave a second thought to his pony mixes, and went along my merry way with techno, tinkering with electronics and software, and practicing on my own music. Around August, a friend showed me some Youtube Poop material, and then I found some mlp material. This reminded me of those pony mixes that i only gave a once-over on; I started listening and looking at his Youtube and Facebook stuff and thought to myself: "Maybe ponies aren't all that bad.... I think I'll try watching it". Best. Decision. Ever. So much of my personality, and my outlook on life, has changed for the better ever since discovering the show and the fandom. I have watched almost all the episodes thus far, especially the important ones. Now I can explain my likes and interests! My favorite pony is Rainbow Dash, and my favorite background pony is Vinyl Scratch. I'm a HUGE deadmau5 fan, and create my own music. I can figure out almost any electronic device or program within a matter of minutes, and i want to learn how to code and program in both Android and Windows. And of course, I like ponies! With all that said, I hope to make some new friends, offer up some pony and non-pony mixes in Octavia's Hall (in the proper forums, of course), get advice, and be a part of this amazing fandom! Any questians and/or statements?
