  1. Drifter walked back into the group after leaving to grab his equipment. On his hooves he wore specially made boots designed to greatly muffle the sound of walking on hard surfaces. He carried a streamlined pack that fit somewhat snugly against his body, keeping the items inside from rattling around and making noise. He smiled at the group.

"Is this anypony's first combat mission?"

  2. "I see that you will all be busy." Drifter casually appeared stepped out from behind Strong Hooves, as if he had been there the whole time. "My division, the Stealth and Recon team, is tasked with finding a way into the enemy fortifications." He tilted his head slightly, a grin on his face.

  3. A pony walked into the lobby backwards, wearing atop his head a large top hat. On his face, he sported a large monocle and rather dashing goatee. He spoke with an accent in his voice that sounded suspiciously Russian.

"I would like to stay in room 662 for the night."

  4. Drifter leaned up against a wall within a few yards of the assembled group of ponies, devoting his idle time to absently sharpening a gorgeous ten-inch dagger and observing his fellow pony companions. The dagger was made from a lightweight magic-forged alloy of aluminum and steel, having just enough weight to feel substantial in his hooves, but light enough that it felt as though it were an extension of his foreleg. The blade curved back just the slightest bit, suitable for penetrating through light, nonmetallic armor. On its hilt was inscribed one word: "Silence."

He casually glanced at the largest pony of the group, the one named Strong Hooves. Strong seemed to be engaged in casual conversation with two other ponies, both mares with whom he was unfamiliar. Drifter listened intently, smiling to himself.

  5. Name: Smoke Drifter

    Race: Pegasus

Description: Very deep shade of blue, black mane, cutie mark is a smoke ball

Personality: Seems to be just a little too happy about his line of work, loyal, crafty.

Bio: Smoke drifter was trained in the arts of espionage and assassination from childhood, and tends not to use his wings more than he needs to due to the fact that they are somewhat disproportionately small.

Powers: Good at stealth, recon, and survival. Also a disguise expert. Fighting style is mostly adapted to ambush and single combat, not very effective against large forces. Adept in using weapons such as the bow staff and the knife. Agile and quick, but not very powerful.

Other things you would like to add: He is sort of like a ninja (NOT A STEREOTYPICAL WESTERNIZED ONE.) who follows the techniques outlined in such works as the Shoninki.

  6. As the new episode progressed today, it was revealed that, in fact, wings and horns are genetic traits. If this be the case, then it is also implied that Earth Pony genes are dominant, and the others are recessive. So, therefore, pegasus can have earth pony children, unicorns can have pegasus, and earth ponies can have unicorns. So, my theory goes as such. The royal sisters were, in fact, born by a very rare genetic anomaly in which the genome is mutated to show traits of all three "races." This would also explain their difference in appearance to the other ponies, as their DNA is altered. The capacity for this trait to occur would only be present in the sisters' bloodline, so as to explain the lack of others like them.

  7. I felt that the writing of this episode was absolutely fantastic. Not only did we get to see more into the personalities of some underappreciated characters, we had an epic backstory reveal (done in sepia, no less) about the founding of Ponyville. I personally love the character of Granny Smith now, and I also appreciate Cheerilee more. By the way, the ENTIRE Apple family is best pony.
