Daisy followed Clover off the train with her two heavy suitcases. Daisy was planning on staying a few days, discussing the endangered species of Equestria isn't something that was quick and simple, particularly with the royal court involved. However, they were kind enough to provide a small room for her to stay in the lower part of the castle. The guest of higher importance got rooms in the upper part of the castle of course, with butler service and satin sheets on the beds... Daisy stopped herself, being ungrateful wasn't like her. She was lucky enough to be here.

"Wow that's really impressive!" Daisy let the information from the others sink in. These ponies were serious. "Well, I hate to say it but I don't think you can just walk into Canterlot Castle and demand to see the princesses. The guards would think you're crazy. Even if Book Quill has a meeting, I doubt they'll let anyone else in but her.... However, I have a letter from the royal court. If I said you all were part of my research group, they'd let you in and you could sneak off..." Daisy wasn't sure if that plan would work, but she really wanted to be a part of such a cool adventure.

In my opinion, Fluttershy. How come I can't tell if the guy I like likes me back?

"Um... If we have I don't remember, but I guess it wouldn't hurt to introduce ourselves a second time. I'm Daisy." Daisy was curious as to what these ponies were doing. Were they actually on some crazy magical adventure? It seemed a bit silly to believe. "So... You're all headed for Canterlot to tell the princesses something important?"

"Uh... I hope you both don't mind me saying this, but mindless arguing about which pony is faster at a time like this is a little crazy, don't you think? We should leave as soon as we can. Anyways... I prefer not to use weapons but if I must I know some archery... So I guess that makes me an archer. I'm an earth pony, obviously. So I'll take a longbow, a quiver of course, and maybe a small dagger in case I need it. I guess I'll have some scaled armor. I'm not a unicorn, so I don't bother with spells much." Daisy took a moment to try to sum herself up. "Well, I know a lot about plants and animals, and based on the fact I can shoot a bow pretty well, I guess I could classify myself as a ranger."

"Hi, I'm Daisy!" "Well, it couldn't hurt to check right?" "That's a good idea, but all of the shops are closed now..." Daisy tried to remember if she had the flower at her house. "Ugh, I wish they were easier to find... I guess I might as well go to my house and see if I have any..."

Actually I probably would have followed you guys anyway, there's not really anyplace for me to go at the moment..." @Iamnotabrony "Also, I hate to say it, but I don't think attacking a full-grown dragon with a blade is going to do much damage. Besides, we don't know if he was responsible for all this, and if he was, that's all the more reason not to anger him."

Daisy was a bit surprised at Rocket's forwardness, but at least he wasn't afraid to make friends. She shook his hoof and smiled. "Hi there! I'm Daisy, and this is Violet! It's nice to meet you. Would you happen to have any..." Daisy figured it may not be best to use the flower's scientific name. "Uh.. Do you know about the flower with the sticky dark red substance it has between it's petals?"

The train seemed like it was taking forever. Daisy felt like she had been waiting forever, she just wanted to get to Canterlot. She was a field researcher, and she had been collecting information on endangered plants and animals for the royal court. She finally got a letter saying the biologists in Canterlot would talk to her, and she was very excited! However, she was stuck at this station waiting for the train to take off again. She opened the window in of her compartment. There was some ponies on the platform talking to one another, saying some thing about spellbooks, letters, and being nervous or something. Then the train whistle blew, so Daisy stuck her head out of the window and spoke to the group of ponies. "If you're all boarding this train, I'd get on now if I were you."

^ Same here. I won't be able to post when I'm at school, but I'll post as much as I can when I'm not. Sorry, sometimes I wish I just didn't have school.

Yeah, I found that pic on Deviantart. It was such a beautiful picture so I created a character designed around her. I cropped the photo because the cutie mark didn't match of course, but the full picture is awesome.

Daisy left with Violet and headed towards the group of ponies. Two of them were arguing. Daisy looked around to see where the sound came from. A broken guitar was lieing on the ground so she pressumed that's what made the sound. It was broken into three peices. "Hey Violet, would happen to have any Lychnis viscaria on you would you? We could probably use that as a super-glue."

"Wow! That's really impressive! Such a beautiful flower!" Daisy went to take her field journal out of her satchel but stopped her movement when she heard a loud crash outside. She looked at Violet. "What was in Equestria was that? It sounded like something broke."

Daisy lost herself in thought the moment Hyperion mentioned Dragons. "Ah! Dragons are so fascinating! I spent a lot of time researching them for fun." Daisy tried to remember a summary she read. "A dragon is a representation of a reptile. In antiquity, dragons were mostly envisaged as serpents, but since the Middle Ages, it has become common to depict them with legs, resembling a lizard. Dragons are known now in modern times to have a body like a huge lizard, or a snake with two pairs of lizard-type legs, and are able to emit fire from their mouths."

Daisy realized most of the shops must be closed by now, or at least closing soon, but she wanted to walk past two shops that were getting a lot of buzz lately. She walked past The Pallete's Sister's, but the lights were off and the sign said closed. She wondered what the shop was for. Maybe you could go in there and paint, or maybe they could paint something for you. Daisy kept walking and came to the flower shop next to Sugarcube Corner. The pony inside looked like she was packing up, but Daisy figured she could at least say hi. She opened the door and walked in, and was pleased by the sights and smells of beautiful flowers. "Hello! I'm Daisy! I absolutely lo-ooo-oove your shop!" Daisy spotted a certain flower out of the corner of her eye. "Oh wow! A Silene tomentosa! Those were thought to be extinct for quite a while, and they're very, very hard to find!"
