You raise really good points. Like you say, it's a great possibility the reason Luna was corrupted that people began to forget the value of the night. As for how Celestia had become after ousting Discord is up for grabs, but whichever the case, she seemed genuinely happy to see her sister return and give her the space she needed for fulfillment in the end. That probably came from a growing appreciation for what Luna was doing before Tia had to take her role upon banishing her.

The thing about neglecting the night kinda reflects people's attitude toward the night today in relation to themselves. So many people already behave during the night as if they would during the day, neglecting and even forgetting the value the night plays for them and their health, and how that in turn affects the health of society. It's another way MLP brilliantly reflects actual real life.

Superb. Absolutely superb. All that you said makes perfect sense. I was almost going to say the Yami Yami no Mi would suit Luna better given that fruit is the perfect opposite of the Pika Pika no Mi, what with the two of them representing darkness and light respectively, much like Luna and Celestia. But then I read that you allocated the Yami Yami to Sombra and I couldn't have thought of a better option myself. Ope Ope no Mi is also perfect for Discord.

Also, Rainbow Dash for the Goro Goro no Mi.

The Goro Goro no Mi is a Logia-type Devil Fruit that allows the user to create, control, and transform into electricity at will, making the user a Lightning Human.

What with her lightning speed and her control of thunderclouds, that devil fruit would suit her perfectly.
