      It's good, but heavy. By the time you get done, you'll hate the author. He introduces characters, makes you care about them then kills them. If you can handle that, you'll enjoy the books. Martin paints pictures with his words like Tolkien.

      Me too. I was glad to be forewarned about the characters tho-I get attached to the extent that I look for spoilers so I know which ones are going to be killed off beforehand, so I don't start caring about them.
