  1. "Star Trek" Discovery is so bad that it made me laugh. The plot is so dumb.

Objectively I agree with you. Subjectively it’s another story. Back when ENT originally aired, I was really attuned to Star Trek. I saw so much potential after DS9 and VOY. So, I didn’t like the idea of this prequel, but I gave it a fair chance. Because I found the idea also intriguing. But I was really disappointed by the first 10? episodes. So, I stopped watching it. Later I tried again and I liked the later season (I think the last two). Yes, I can still see Star Trek in this show, but it’s the beginning of the end (as you said) and I had already some history of disappointments with it. And everything which came later, just burned me. I know I’m not too objectively here. But Star Trek really meant a lot to the teenager which I once was.

I know. Star Trek gave hope and inspiration. It caused me to think about issues and ask questions. It was fun and interesting. Discovery is depressing and boring. Everything is either a fight to save the whole galaxy or it's moody characters talking about their feelings.

Sorry for the delay. It’s a little bit too much communication for me this evening^^’’

I don’t mind talking about feelings or fighting but I agree this is not what Star Trek was once about. At least not exclusively. The hope it once delivered is gone. And this for apparently no good reason. It had enough potential, big enough fandom etc. and it just went this way. It feels so unnecessary. But I guess everything has its time. By now I accepted that and I just hope that some of those fandom projects will come to life someday xD We can still hope, right?
