    Need Editor For A Theory Video

    I'm looking for an editor for a theory video I'm trying to make.

    On my channel, in my MLP reactions, there was a running joke in a couple videos that I should make a theory based on socks. The basis of this joke is that in the background of some episodes of MLP you can find socks in trash cans in such, but they're human socks. Human socks in a pony world.. strange. I decided that it'd be a funny video to make, and I was asked to by a viewer, so I decided to bring the sock theory to life. I've written out a script talking about various possible theories, debunking some and detailing my reasons for doing so.

    The script is finished but I've hesitated making the video because I don't believe I have the editing abilities to make this video entertaining and not a bland mess. I want a fast paced editing style that will keep viewers interested while I'm rambling on, images coming up on the screen as I talk about them and maybe a visual joke here and there. I don't have the proper program or editing experience to do something like that, so I'm really hoping to find someone who can.

    If you'd like to help out then let me know! Maybe show something you've edited so I can find what most matches what I'm looking for. And of course you will get credit in the video and in the description for your good work. Leave a comment if you're interested! ;3

    OC hate I need help understanding

    When it comes down to it you're pretty right, alicorn OC's tend to be hated throughout the fandom. I guess the main issue with them tends to be that others will assume that the creator of the OC is just making a Mary Sue, or a character that's just too overpowered. This makes the creator look bad.

    But as long as you know that you're doing it out of a genuine interest in the alicorn race and because it's based on your own feelings and life experience, then I think you should! Just be prepared to defend your OC once in a while. People tend to be annoying XD

    I've been bored lately and I haven't really had much going on over on Diddle Box other than the episode reacts. So I thought I'd solve both those problems at once by doing something I haven't done in a while, an Ask Tech Reel! :D

    Need Editor For Channel Trailer!

    Hey everyone! :muffins:

    I'm looking to see if anyone's up to the task of helping me make a little trailer for my channel, Diddle Box. I'm thinking something along the lines of a a few small compilations of the most entertaining clips from my current list of videos, one small compilation for each genre of videos I make; reactions, drawing, song covers, gaming, and miscellaneous.

    I imagine each clip compilation would be at least 10 seconds or more, with a few seconds between where I mention the next genre. All I need from you, if you choose to do this, is to look through my videos and compile some of the entertaining moments within each of the 5 genres I mentioned. I do have quite a lot of videos as of now, 60 in fact.

    "Bubbly Friendship" Casting

    Hello everyone! I'm here again looking for some voices for a series of audio shorts called "Bubbly Friendship" :muffins:

    The basic premise is this: When Derpy loses both her house and her job she finds herself with nowhere to go and nopony to turn to. That is until she's found by Equestria's most arrogant showpony, Trixie. She agrees to take her in to prove that, despite Starlight's beliefs, she can in fact be responsible. And as Derpy is now living with Trixie antics obviously ensue.

    The series only has one episode written so far and doesn't have any real ending in mind, just a bunch of shorts showing the life of Derpy and Trixie trying to get along in this strange situation.

     

    Here are the rules for joining this project:

    RULES:
    1. You're mic doesn't have to be professional or perfect, just as clear and as little background noise as possible.
    2. This is a long term series, so only join if you know you'll have the time and motivation to keep going.
    3. You MUST have a Skype so we can communicate.
    4. Have fun with it! This is a silly little series of random short stories so just have fun :D

    So far the voices we need are of course for Trixie, Derpy, and Starlight(though more may be added in the future).

    Here are the audition lines for each character :)

     

    Trixie Lulamoon:
    1. Oh come on, it was just a harmless prank.
    2. Well to be fair I thought it was Spike’s chair I set up. I didn’t realize anypony important would be sitting there..
    3. Hmm, OH! Trixie just came up with the greatest and most powerful idea!!

    Derpy Hooves:
    1. I just don’t know what went wrong..
    2. (sad)
    Well a few orders of rock candy, some hay, crates of frozen desserts, and I think a piano..
    3. (slightly happy)
    Okay Miss Great and Powerful!

    Starlight Glimmer:
    1. (sighs, annoyed)
    I’m sorry, it’s just that you can’t keep doing this. This is the third time you’ve done this this week!
    2. (shocked/appalled)
    Trixie!!
    3.(takes a deep breath, calm)
    Trix, you really need to learn to act responsibly. You can’t just do what you want whenever you want..

    The audition period, as of right now, is until July 31st. I'm excited to hear your auditions! Good luck! :D

    How did you get friends or family to watch MLP and "convince" them to like it?

    Well I've gotten at least two people to check out the show and the way I did it was by peaking their curiosity. I embrace how strange it is to like, and while that may turn some off of the idea it also may make them just curious enough to try it out.

    Instead of using a phrase like, "I really like this show, it's great" go more along the lines of "Yeah this is a children's show for girls yet for some reason it managed to pull me in!" This will kill two birds with one stone: Acknowledging the fact that it's a children's show and also explaining that beyond all previous expectations there are reasons that it's good for more than just children. Like I said, such a simple choice of words can open someone's mind up to trying something. Heck, the reason I got into the show was also curiosity. I felt like I had to know what was so good about it and why anyone outside of the intended demographic like it so much.

    So yeah, the best advice I can give is to play into the weirdness of the whole thing. Admit how strange it is that such a fandom exists for such a show, get them intrigued. If you're lucky they'll end up watching to see what all the hype is about and get roped into liking it in the process!

    And if that doesn't work, one last tip. Find a scene from the show, something oddly cynical or action filled. Like Twilight's fight with Tirek, or the Mane Six fighting off the changelings, Spike getting hurt, or even something as simple as Starlight's cynicism towards friendship speeches. These are things someone wouldn't expect to see in a show about ponies and magic. Hopefully the person would see the clip, consider that there may be more to the show than meets the eye, and decide to give it a chance.

    I prefer Starlight much more for a few reasons:

    1. I just don't care too much for the Equestria Girls series

    2. I feel like Starlight is just a more interesting and more developed character

    how long have u seen MLP?

    I know XD I keep meaning to see last airbender, and eventually I will get around to it, but for now I just either haven't had the time or motivation to check it out. But I will!

    Well I started this account very shortly after joining the fandom, so according to my profile I've been watching for about 4 years now. I remember that when I started watching the first Equestria Girls movie was just coming out :o

    Which of these shows did u watch before besides MLP? :fluttershy: Which of these shows are your fav and least fav??

    Out of this list the only ones I really watched at length were 12 and 19.

    As for favorite I'll say Ed Edd n Eddy and least favorite(only because I have to since these are the only two and for no other reason cause this show is amazing) The Magic School Bus.

    Well okay, this isn't really an OC, it's actually my Ponysona. I'm curious to see what Tech would sound like if he wasn't me :o

    Never really tried to describe my own voice in detail before, so here we go.. XD

    Voice: High-ish(at least a bit higher than normal guys), snarky, like Twilight with a touch of Pinkie Pie

    Tone Of Voice: He has three main tones. Excited/Quirky/Bouncy, Intrigued/Curious, exaggeratedly angry.

    Here are some lines:

    "Oh my gosh I can't wait!"

    "Are..you..KIDDING ME?!"

    "Wait what? H-how is that..oh, OH THAT'S GENIUS!"

    "Well come on, what are ya waiting for? Let's go!"

    "UGH! You bore meeee!"

    Extra Info: Anyone who has spent any amount of time in a call with me knows I giggle..a lot. Especially when excited, so use that as necessary :lol:
