About an week, with around 20-30 hours of straight drawing time i think

fun to know that the tail wont be seen at all with the way i layout'ed the foreground xD Those small things that makes you a little annoyed that you put a fair bit of effort into making it look nice xD Finaly made some progress... been a lousy week for me xP

I'm using paint tool Sai, a good drawing program when drawing with a tablet Il think about that, dunno if i could handle the pressure of drawing live well tho

Here I's how i do it I use single long smooth strokes along the lines where the veld go, as vectors are just long smooth lines from one point to an other with key-points affecting the flow. Altho some lines are really really hard to make in one stroke, like the line here on Trixie from her jawline to the base of her horn. But to get the vector look you need it all in one stroke and it will take me as many tries as it need till i get it right, witch can be like 30-50 if its a exceptionally bad one or I'm having a bad day and aint happy with it... I'm kinda an perfectionist xD

curently testing around with time lapses and such, so i might have something like that for you in a bit

For the pointed lines i just use Paint Tool Sai's build in stroke smoothing for tablets, its basically just the pen pressure easing out. And with the Paint tool Sai smoothing functions i can get my lines to flow really smooth and nice, getting that almost vectorised look :3

Thanks, well its partly cus Twilight is sprawled out laying down like that and Trixie is sitting with her legs folded, but I'm cheeking it over and thinking about it. Thanks for the feedback Well iv been drawing for a few months now when i have some free-time, started late summer this year and so. I don't use vectors, its all hand drawn pixel-based art using a tablet, done some 3D sculpting work before so knew decently how to use a tablet when starting up. And its not that hard to do, you just need to sit down and try. I used a lot of screenshots to get things right and keep to the style, and when i was getting on and started i just traced to get the poses and ratios right. Just drawing with a good flow and way of doing things is all you really need, I'm no where near skilled at drawing with a tablet, i just keep trying and try to find the best way to get good results.

Starting up a drawing I'm currently working on :3 Something fun and nice for the winter months, so i decided on making some Twixie fun nice and cute :3 Hope you will all like it, will update as i make progress, but wont have too much time to draw till a few days from now xD Anyone have any suggestions id love to hear them 2: Working on planing out the background, already have the general scene in mind just have to make it look good, scene wise For those who are wondering, what Twilight and Trixie are resting on is basically a furnace with a rock-slab on top of it, making it double as a heated rock-bed. Just a nice idea i had a while ago and playing around with 3: Adding in the background 4: More background work, got a few moments for it 5: Got a free hour of drawing in, added more to the background and hair highlights 6: Working in the rock-bed a bit, but really really unsure about it, might overhaul its design if i can think of anything better.... well that's what i get for just making stuff up cus i liked the idea xD And i finished it, hope you will all like it DA submission: http://zonra.deviant...ation-276731943

Not using vectors, I draw in Paint tool Sai, and its all pixel based art like Photoshop. I just use the smoothing tool and spend a lot of time to make the long smooth lines trying to mimic the vector look xD

Just something i drew together, trying to get me out of some serious low moods iv had lately. Hope anyone might like it
