  1. There is one person I could trust with voicing my OC wholeheartedly.

James Marsters the guy who reads the Dresden Files audiobooks (with the exception of one, I'm pretty sure he does a lot of other voice work and acts but I don't know much more about him to be honest.) . His voice is just awesome to listen to. He has such a great range of emotions and such an expressive voice I can't help but love it. I actually wrote my OCs backstory kinda with the way he talks in reading the Dresden Files in mind . He would be the perfect choice :)!

  2. I can't really remember all that much to be honest. But one of my earliest memories is trying to play Duck Hunt on NES. So either that or Super Mario Bros. was the first game I've ever played. However, I quickly moved up to Nintendo 64 from there. And I have plenty of fond memories about that . But really I've been gaming ever since I can remember. Not always as intensely as now but definitely a lot no matter my age. Today it's one of my most defining hobbies and definitely something that has had a huge impact on my life. And I wouldn't have it any other was :)!

  3. That is an interesting thought. I'm honestly not sure what if/when the CMC get their Cutie Marks will mean in terms of them being given screen time. I'd actually enjoy if they introduced a new character or set of characters with a new problem to overcome. But at the same time I can't help but care about the CMC and what happens to them. I wouldn't like to see less of them. The characters are a large part of why I watch the show after all.

I guess it's a win win situation either way though. I'm not sure what they could replace the CMC with and I wouldn't like to see them go but at the same time introducing a new subplot could shake things up. Something that is happening to the series at this point and I think it's being done rather well.

  4. I loved this episode! The "Doctors" played well off of each other and they managed to bring a lot of "funny" to a very serious, exciting and character driven story. Their personalities worked so well together and their dialogues were superb. I liked how this episode explored "who the Doctor is" and wasn't only a big universe saving adventure (which would have been awesome in itself). This managed to make it so much more and turned something fans have believed for years upside it's head. And it's implications for the plot of the next season(s) is also really interesting!

  5. A Christmas Story & How the Grinch Stole Christmas (Jim Carry Version)

Oh, yeah I love those two as well :)! Never had the chance to see "A Christmas Story" all the way through though. I was interrupted by something every year when it was on TV. That's why I bought it on DVD last week .

  6. With Christmas slowly creeping up on us again, I have a question in mind for the fine folks here on the forum. What are some of your favorite Christmas specials and Christmas themed movies? Share with those of us who have problems getting into the holiday spirit or just want to watch something they haven't seen before :)!

In my mind you can never go wrong with Die Hard, Blackadder's Christmas Carol and the South Park Woodland Critters Christmas special :). Not exactly cheery ones but they are the ones which I must watch every time December rolls around!

  7. Today what Persona fans have known for a long time has been made official! Persona 5 is coming fillies and gentlecolts! And we have been given a short teaser:

It doesn't actually show much of course but somebody who knows a bit about the previous games could arrive to some interesting conclusions wink.png! The announcement is Japan only right now but once it releases I don't think western audiences will have to go far without it. Except if you happen to be European like me in which case we have a long wait to look forward to. But still, I couldn't be more excited! I'm a big fan of the series. Does anyone share my excitement smile.png?

  8. It's true that we over analyze it sometimes but it's usually in the name of good fun :). A lot of jokes in the fandom have been born from that. Some people can take it to the extreme though and that can be annoying though. We should be at least somewhat critical with new episodes I believe so the show wouldn't get sloppy on us. Recognize both the good and bad. Some people over think or become overly critical but I believe most of us don't. We have our hearts in the right place :)

  9. I think it would be extremely different as well. Also, I think it'd last nearly as long without us although at this point we have no idea how long it will last I'm pretty sure we are doing a lot to keep it popular and pump a lot of money in the franchise. I don't rightly know how much we influenced the actual show but I like to think that we had a big effect on it. A positive effect.

  10. I have been thinking a lot about how much time passed during the show. For me the Season 4 premier is enough to prove that only one year has passed so far. Otherwise, some things in the premier would just seem a bit odd.

On the other hand a lot has happened in previous seasons. Speaking of seasons, a lot of them seem to have gone by in FiM. And sometimes out of order too! Ah, this is making my head hurt now  derpy_emoticon2.png Just like Doctor Who sometimes... My excuse is:

  11. Honestly, I'd make it a three parter I think. There were many awesome concepts (Twilight having to act like a leader, her friends having to come to terms with her being a princess for instance) in this episode but I feel like they didn't have enough time to play out. With a bit more time they could have been done a lot better. The third act also felt a bit rushed. But these first two episodes set up the coming season really well and they were still highly enjoyable so I'm satisfied. Also, I would have added a villain but that's just personal preference (I'd like a villain who pops up continuously throughout one season, that could still be done though. Or maybe in season 5 laugh.png) .

  12. I wish I had a dream like that :(. I usually forget my dreams pretty quickly but I'm pretty sure being a pony is something that would stick. Oh well, guess I will just have to bomb my brain with as much pony related stuff as I can from now on every night before I go to sleep to make this happen !

Well, almost over anyway laugh.png! I'll pretty much have the same relieved facial expression as poor old Frodo here when I actually start watching the Season 4 opener! And I've only been waiting since August so I can't even begin to imagine how hard this must have been for some of you XD. I can barely contain my excitement! In fact I'm about to burst!

Off to watch Magical Mystery Cure one last time to get myself up to speed before tomorrow rolls around smile.png!

  14. Age & Gender:

    18, Male

Who is your favorite MLP character and why:

Rainbow Dash but to be honest even I am at a loss as to why. As I watched more and more episodes I just warmed up to her. She is very different from me in some ways and very similar in others. I really like Twilight Sparkle as well for the same reasons. We are different yet similar.

Which character do you think of most as a "leader":

Definitely Twilight Sparkle. She has been the main focus of the show so far, I think that much can be said for sure, and most of her character development was towards becoming a "Princess" or in other words a leader.

Tell me what things you like best about the show as a whole: (ie the animation, the writing, the character depth, the stories, the humor, etc)

What initially caught me off guard about this show is how intelligent and funny it was. Besides that, I love the characters, the stories (everything from slice of life stories to adventures). It just comes together so well!

Many say the MLP fandom breaks gender and age norms/stereotypes and has brought people from different demographics together through their shared love for ponies. What is your experience with this?:

I'm glad to see that this is happening. I've always been reluctant to join online communities but ever since I decided to join the brony community I've met some really awesome people and a few very close friends. I'm yet to have any kind of negative experience involving bronies. We have every kind of person here imaginable and it's great that a show helps bring people together to such a high degree. We help each other with problems, have intelligent conversations ,about any topic really, and people in the community create a lot of quality works. In some ways, this community has gone way beyond of just a few people getting together to discuss a show they like (not to downplay the merits of Friendship is Magic of course). It's starting to take up a life of it's own.

Have you ever faced social adversity for being a MLP fan?:

Not yet. In fact my experiences have been far more positive so far than I expected. I'm still a bit careful about reveling that I'm a brony to people but so far nobody said anything bad about it. Some people find it weird but that's to be expected. I did too before I checked out the show.

    Anything else?:

I wish for your project to be a success, and I hope you stick around here after it's done smile.png!

  15. I might check this out when it hits theaters. It looks good but I have my doubts. Still, the idea and the things seen in the trailers are so "out there" that this should be watched just to see how they put all of this together and if they can pull it off well :). I am skeptical but optimistic at the same time. This has the potential to be remarkably good or something not worthy of attention at all.

  16. Beating Shin Megami Tensei: Nocturne (one of the hardest RPGs I've ever played) for the first time and getting the most epic ending. Also, making it to the end of the last wave of the Horde mode of Gears of War 3 with just one other person. There are probably the moments where I had the biggest feeling of accomplishment in gaming smile.png!

Oh, and beating the last Colossus in Shadow of the Colossus was indescribably awesome too!
