Seth blinked. He nodded, stepping back. He let the barrier fall. He gained about five inches in height, fangs protruded from his mouth, his pupils became slitted, his fur became scales, his mane became spikes, and his tail turned into a small dracony tail with spikes on it. Lastly, his hooves clawed. He looked at her. Luna blinked, smiling. Lunar blinked.

Seth blinked, his eyes widening. He got up, walking over to her. He smiled. "Y-you're beautiful..." He looked at her, blushing a little. "Is this what you've been keeping from me? I, too, am..." He blinked, looking away. "Well, not full, but I'm part...dracony..." he mumbled, blushing still.

Seth blinked. He slowly walked over to the bed, sitting down. She could see the slight scaliness to his fur and his pointed ears. He looked at her, tilting his head. "What is it, Novel? Did I do something wrong?" he asked, worry in his voice. -What could she possibly have to tell me that's so important?-

Seth blinked. "Is someone calling my name?" He listened closely. "Guess I better go find out..." He opened his wings and flew back to his room. He landed on the balcony. "Oh. What are you doing here, Novel...?" he asked, putting on a fake smile. She could see his fangs now.

Novel enters just as Seth is taking off. He flew up to his usual perch on the roof when he was on duty. He looked around. "Nothing out of the ordinary..." -No sign of Novel either...- Luna blinked, smiling at Leif. Lunar blinked, shaking her head. "I've never heard how exactly that...thing got inside of you..." she said, looking at him.

Miyu blinked. The entire time she was with them, she never once really knew exactly what the job was. She looked at Thorbe, then at Ikaru. "Um... Yeah, what is it exactly...?" she asked, smiling sheepishly as she scratched the back of her head. -God, I must look like a total dingbat right now...- she thought, sighing internally.

Luna nodded. "That's why we cannot understand why you would keep something this trivial from him..." She then looked at Leif, smiling. "We will be right there beside you, helping any way possible..." Lunar smiled, kissing his forehead. "I will protect you from that thing no matter what..." Seth sighed, putting on his helmet. He opened his balcony doors, walking out onto the balcony. He opened his wings and flew off, patrolling the grounds.

Luna nodded. "Of course you may, but first, we think you need to go tell Seth the truth... We know how much he cares for you, and we know he feels terrible that you are keeping this from him... Besides..." She sighed, whispering in Novel's ear, "Do not tell anypony, but his great grandmother was a dracony... He doesn't want anypony to know for fear of rejection..." Seth sighed, putting his armor on. He looked in the mirror as he fixed his mane. He began to look at his teeth, poking one of his two sharpened fangs with his hoof. "Ow! Looks like I'll need to file again soon..." he mumbled to himself, watching a little blood ooze out of the fresh wound his fang made on his hoof.

Luna thought for a moment. "This is just a theory, but...maybe once the battle with Sombra is over, you can take some on our troops along with Seth and either go face your father if he has not passed, or rightfully claim what is yours," she said, giving her a soft smile. "We know how it feels to be the outcast, dear Novel. We do not wish that upon anypony - dracony or kirin either... So, we will stand behind you no matter what your decision is." Seth groaned, rolling over. He couldn't sleep. He had to know what was going on. Novel was hiding something from him. He sat up in bed, his eyes low. "Why even bother sleeping...? Not like I can sleep during the night anyways..." he sighed, getting up out of bed and stretching. He looked over at his armor leaned against the wall. "It's suppose to be my night off... Should I go patrol anyways since I can't sleep...?"

Luna blinked. "Well now... THAT is a problem... Are you wanting to return home and take the crown? If so, we can offer you protection from anypony that may want to harm you. And you know Seth will stand beside you through thick and thin," she said, giving a small smile. "That stallion is very taken by you. We know better than anypony that he will not be detered because of who you are."

Luna blinked, looking at her. "So you're a dracony? That's what you have been keeping from us?" She sighed, laughing a little. "Why would you keep something so trivial from us?" She smiled at her. Lunar nodded. "When I got there, you already had this on you and were passed out, so I'm not sure how bad it truly was..." Midnight fell asleep. Celestia stirred a bit.

Luna sighed. "Neighpon's emperor is doing fine. He is still sick, but is not showing signs of ending soon. We are on the side of good, so if he is not on Sombra's side or thinks like that tyrant, then we are on his side. If he is like Sombra or on Sombra's side, we are not on his side. We do not talk to Neighpon that much, so we are not sure who's side they are on." Lunar's ears lowered. "Grell said Spawn came out when Crystal's energy suddenly got so dark. He put some kind of seal on your back, then you passed out... I brought you here so you could rest..."

Luna looked away. "We are not as horrid as you ponies seem to think we are. We will not shun anypony away, no matter how bad the 'secret' is. Why don't you both understand this? If it's something we can help with, we want to help. Now, quit being fillyish and tell us what is going on," she said. Her demenor was calm now. Seth fell asleep. Lunar looked at him. "You sure?" she asked. Celestia fell asleep fast.

Luna sighs, looking at them. "We do not take kindly to ponies who hide things from us. We do not understand why she is being so fillyish (childish) about this. She has upset Seth quite a lot. As a member of our royal guard, we can pick up on his emotions. He thinks Novel doesn't want him anymore, all because whatever she is hiding, she's refusing to tell. We care for every single one of our guards like they were family. Can you understand why we are so upset, Leif?" she asked, calm now. Seth yawned, laying down in his bed. Lunar put a hiof on his shoulder. "Steel, are you alright?" she asked. Midnight began to doze off. Celestia looked over at Chronos. She sighed, closing her eyes. "Goodnight... Chronos..."

Luna glared at her. "Do not ignore us!" she said, stomping her hoof. "If you are hiding things from us, you will go back to Crystal Empire as it is now! We do not take lightly to traitors..." she warned, obviously getting upset. Seth flew back to his room, sighing.k

Seth shook his head. "It's fine... Do as you wish..." He opened his wings ad flew out of the gardens. -She's hiding something from me... I can tell...- Luna blinked, watching him fly off. She then looked at Novel. "We have no idea what is going on between you and Leif, but you need to tell us now. We will not have a member of our royal guard distracted by hurt because you can't tell him what's on you're mind," she said, seeing through her little facade. Lunar sat up. "A-are you alright, Steel?" Midnight closed her eyes, yawning.

Seth blinked. "N-no... I was coming to get you so we could go to bed..." His ears lowered a little. Luna blinked, looking at Leif. She had a feeling they were hiding something. Midnight kissed him back, curling up next to him. Lunar blinked, feeling him stir. She looked at him.

Seth smiled, nuzzling Novel. "It's a pleasure to meet you, Leif. I hope you are treating him well, Princess," he joked, sticking his tongue. Luna blinked, blushing. "A-anyways, if you have any questions at all, let me know," she said to Novel, smiling. Celestia sighed, nodding. "It's nights like these I wish I had somepony to curl up next to..." she mumbled to herself, crawling in bed. Midnight blinked, smiling.

Luna smiled, looking at Novel. "If you want, I can help you, too. I can't do much with nature, but I can teach you more about the night," she said, smiling. Midnight smiled, kissing him back. Seth looked at Leif. "I'm sorry, but I don't remember if I met you already. I am one of Princess Luna's royal guard members, Seth. What's your name?" he asked, smiling.

Luna smiled. "I'm good." She then looked at Leif. "So, what's this about teaching her?" she asked, giggling a little as she spoke. Seth smiled, trotting up. "Hello Princess. Hello, Novel," he said, bowing respectfully. He saw the fear in Novel's eyes and began to worry.

Midnight sighed, nodding. Lunar smiled, snuggling close. Luna walked up to the gardens. She blinked, noticing Novel. "Hello, dear. How are you?" she asked, smiling. Seth landed in the gardens, looking around for Novel. He spotted her over by Luna and another strange pony. He blinked, walking over.

Midnight walked into her room. "I love the princesses with all my heart, but that was entirely too foolish of them to just be so welcoming to such a new pony... They should have realized that after what happened when I first came here..." Lunar crawled up to the other side of the bed and curled up next to Steel, closing her eyes. Luna sighed, walking out of the castle. She blinked, feeling the presence of a windingo...tamed? She cocked her head, heading towards the presence. Seth opened his wings, flying down the halls and through the doors, flying for the gardens.

Celestia smiled. "I'll hold you to that," she said, walking inside. Midnight sighed. "I know I shouldn't have been so harsh, but he almost injured the princess... Not to mention, this other 'personality' is obviously sided with Sombra... We may as well have an enemy in our castle!" Lunar took him back to her room, laying him on the bed. She covered him up and kissed his forehead. "I promise... I won't let that thing take over you..." Luna sighed, walking back towards the garden. She hoped Leif was still there. Seth looked out the window. "I guess I should go see if she's ready for company now..." he said to himself, walking out of his room.

Celestia nodded. "It's alright. I knew you had a reason for what you said. All you're trying to do is look out for me. I appreciate it..." She stopped at her door, smiling. "It's because of that dedication and loyalty that you were the only fit for my personal guard..." Lunar teared up. "I'll protect you from now on... You don't have to struggle so much anymore..." she whispered, putting him on her back. Midnight sighed, walking into her room.

Midnight glared at Crystal, putting her blade away. "One false move and you're dead, you brat." She walked off, fuming. Lunar blinked, looking over at Steel. She gasped. "Wh-what happened?!" she cried, racing over to him. Celestia smiled, taking his hoof and walking to her room.
