  1. Still in Japan. Upgraded apartment, new job but... sigh... same old games...  At least I have space for a computer desk, entertainment area and dining room all in my lounge... plus my bedroom is no longer the same space as the aforementioned generally-accepted home partitioning label. Plus my balcony is not a prison, but an actual area to keep my laundry rack and (sadly, probably now deceased house plant Paul) All in all, house has been upgraded!

  2. I watched the first 3 episodes of Dr Stone. Then I read all 116 chapters of the manga. If they stick as close to the manga as they have so far, I think I have a new favorite currently-running anime.

Oh, and still going through Kill la Kill - it's the shiz-niz!

  3. For me, it's not an issue of rating... I actually fail to see the logic in that. I mean, yes, grown people are probably more likely to have disposal income from a job, but there are also young people whose parents will buy them anything.

As long as there is a legitimate way to get the same content in-game, I see no harm in loot boxes (there are always people with more money than time on their hands). When they're your only option (either blocked off entirely without payment or to the point you'd need to grind 100+ hours to only possibly match someone simply buying their way to the top), then I say the developers are getting to the point of not giving you what you paid for by simply buying the base game, and that's a little bit shitty. Like releasing a broken game and then second-day patch, or something outright broken, or having content on the original release that you force people to pay for as "DLC".

tl;dr - If it's an honest attempt to include those with more money but less time and is attainable (for reasonable assessments of attainable) by simply playing the game, I'm fine with it. When it's forced on players purely to satisfy corporate greed, then I have an issue with it.

  4. Drinking alcohol. Let's all go pour rotten vegetable matter into our mouths and stomachs, so as to addle our brains and punish our livers simply for existing! Those little umbrellas are nice, though.

Then there's my habit of listening to music while lying down in bed and sorta dancing along to the songs, and singing them softly (so as not to annoy neighbours)...

  5. Worse than it was (say 9 months ago), my friends, worse than it was. But that's life, right? All them ups and downs. Being all uppy and downy...

Making peace with where you are right now, that's the real secret to happiness. Let me know when you manage that.
