  1. Cole silently agreed with Olive's last statement. "Alright then. Let's go to wherever Speed and Crystal just went, I guess." he said.
  2. "I'm Cole." Cole introduced himself to Olive. "And yeah, there's a lot of horses here. The ones with wings are Pegasi, the ones with the horns are Unicorns, and the ones with neither are the Earth Ponies." he explained to the newcomer. "Yeah, that- that sounded confusing. But don't worry, you'll get the hang of it later."
  3. Comet watched Olive lower his head. Suddenly, an idea struck him. "Hey, don't feel bad. You just got here, you don't know what to do." he assured the unicorn. "We could always use another set of hands. Or hooves. Either one." he added. "Like we were saying, we're figuring out a way to get up there. So if you want to come with us, we don't mind."
  4. Comet groaned quietly, his vision slowly fading into focus. When he could properly see again, a tiny green pony with a silver mane was standing next to the bed he was in. She wore a red cloak with a little hood on it. "Hiya!" she greeted him, eyes staring at him curiously. "My name's Red. What's yours?" Comet groaned once more before managing to speak. "My- my name's Comet. And thanks for answering the doorbell there, you probably saved my life." he responded. Carefully sitting up, he felt bandages on his wing where the gash had been. He briefly feared that he had lost his camera, and was relieved to see it on a nearby table. "You're welcome. My parents said I should always help injured ponies that come to the door, so that's what I did!" she explained proudly. "What happened to you, anyway?" Comet paused for a moment, trying to piece together what happened. "There was some sort of monster out there, maybe two of them. They didn't look like anything I've ever seen before." he recounted, frowning to himself. "One of them got me on the wing, and, well...here I am. I'm lucky I had the sense to-" he stopped. "Did you hear that?" "Hear what?" "That buzzing noise. I could've sworn it..." Comet muttered, looking out of the window. "Look, I need to go right now. As long as I'm here, I could be putting you in danger from those things." Red patted his shoulder in assurance. "Don't worry, they won't get in here. If you don't want to go to Ponyville alone, though, I'll come with you. My daddy's working at the hospital down there, I think." Comet blinked. "Are you sure? I don't think you should...well, if you insist. But stay close to me. I'm not your brother, but I wouldn't feel good about myself if one of them dragged you off while I was there." "Gotcha. Let me just get some things, and we'll be off!" Red winked at him, scampering out of the door and into her room. Comet got out of bed, picked up his camera, and followed her.
  5. Comet trudged through the woods, holding his camera. He turned it in different directions to take in his surroundings. It was a beautiful night, and it seemed like nothing bad could happen. Suddenly, something rustled in the bushes behind him, and he whipped around, camera aimed at whatever it was. For a second, he thought he had been imagining things. Just the wind or something. he thought, sighing with relief. No need to- Then it emerged from it's hiding spot, and Comet wished it hadn't. It was short and somewhat lanky looking, with claws shaped almost like rakes. It's head cocked to the side as it studied him closely. A grin formed over it's monstrous face, and Comet felt a sense of fear wash over him. "W- what in Celestia's name are you?!" he asked it in horror, not really expecting an answer. The creature made a bizarre sound in response, creeping closer and closer. It made the sound again as it raised it's claws. Comet's camera started distorting, and he noticed an ominous, more taller shadow looming in the darkness the thing had come out of. He made up his mind, then. He didn't know what these things were, but he didn't plan on sticking around to find out. The monster lowered itself into a crouching position, getting ready to spring. At the same time Comet turned around and prepared to fly away, he heard it leap at him. He managed to get away just in time, feeling one of it's claws swipe the air behind his left wing. He took off into the air, flying to a safe distance above the forest. Checking his camera, Comet noticed the distortion had stopped. He turned in Ponyville's direction and began flying. Without warning, he started feeling dizzy and light headed. Turning his head back around to look at his left wing, he saw a gash in it. Not a deep one, but still painful nonetheless. "Oh buck, this is not good."he swore to himself. As he said this, he felt his wing slowly but surely giving out. He started lowering himself to the ground, feeling his blood trickling out of the wound. There was a house nearby, he realized. Maybe they could help him. Just as he was a foot or two off the ground, he collapsed. Working on sheer determination now, he crawled to the door with what little strength he had left. He raised his hoof and hit the doorbell before passing out. As darkness came over him, he realized that the noise the creature from before had been repeating was actually a word. Habit. It was saying "Habit". - - - - - - - Red heard the doorbell almost instantly and jumped out of her bed. Mommy and Daddy weren't supposed to be home for another hour or two, and she couldn't imagine anypony that normally came at this time. She trotted down the stairs and to the door eagerly to greet whoever it was. Then she stopped and remembered all of the missing ponies lately. What if that's whatever's kidnapping ponies? she worried. I could be letting him in! She nervously went to the window to check the door. To her suprise, it was a pegasus. He looked like he was hurt, and Red couldn't turn away somepony that was hurt. Going back to the door, she opened it to get a better look at him. "Hello?" she asked him. When he didn't respond, Red realized he was unconscious. She managed to drag him inside and shut the door. "You shouldn't be out here at this time of night." she mused to the pegasus, seeing that his wing was wounded. She went into the bathroom and got some bandages, coming back and applying them on the wound. Good thing my daddy's a doctor. she thought with relief. Otherwise I wouldn't know what to do here. Her job done for now, she carried him up to the guest room and placed him on one of the beds. He's really heavy, she noted. I hope he's not dead. As she placed his camera on the table next to the bed, she saw something out of the corner of her eye. She quickly turned to face it, but it was gone by the time she fully faced the window. She growled in frustration, peering outside. Whatever it was, it had been stalking her for a while now. She wondered what would happen if she finally met it.
  6. Cole cocked his head curiously as the newcomer babbled out his story. Olive Branch. That's a nice name. he thought to himself. Reminds me of eating black olives back home. I miss that. Suddenly, the sound of talking echoed in his head. It seemsthey've changed this place up since the last time I was here. it mused solemnly. Cole almost jumped before he recognized Misery's voice. You're up. Did you sleep well? he asked him. Yeah, I did. I've been awake since you started waiting in the hospital. By the way, that balloon thing sounds like a good idea. Of course, there is the chance it could be a trap...but you know what they always say: Nothing ventured, nothing gained. Misery offered. Cole considered this for a minute. I don't know, it just doesn't seem right. There's just so many ways the trip could go wrong. One of us might fall, or get tired, or the balloon could pop. Misery made a noise that was apparently the sound version of a shrug. You're the boss. Whatever you want to do, that's your decision. I'm not gonna try and stop you. Cole nodded absent mindedly. Hey, do you know what this gala thing is? People have been talking about it a lot lately. Well, gala is a term for a fancy party. In this case, it's most likely for an occasion of some sort. Maybe they shoot off fireworks or something? Maybe... The conversation now over, he focused on what was going on just in time to hear Olive to say to Speed, "So, what, might I ask is your name then miss?"
  7. Thanks! I was originally going to have the shot of Andrew going "RAAAAAGH!" with his arms in the air replacing the bus part, but I the one clip I had of it was only a split second long. Trust me, if you're a fan of the found footage genre, you'll love it. I personally liked how they made Steve (The black guy moving the car) a kind and sympathetic character instead of just sticking to the stereotypical gangster crap. Andrew (The guy that goes nuts) was also pretty sympathetic, and my favorite character. Finally, Matt (Andrew's Cousin) had his moments (Singing Jessie J's "Price Tag" in the car, and the gum scene in the store) and matured significantly over the course of the movie. A word of warning, though: The last scene is both heartwarming and insanely tear-jerking. You will feel your eyes get watery at the very least.
  8. So I made a Tv spot with stuff from the movie Chronicle and the song Pain Scan by Audiomachine. For those of you who haven't seen Chronicle, then get the DVD when it comes out, because it's awesome. Anyway, without further ado: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UL0W9eEuz8w
  9. 1. Clive Barker's Undying (Imagine it with Crysis or Bioshock graphics. Just...brrrr.) 2. Metal Arms: Glitch In The System (Good game for Xbox and PS2. Shame they didn't make a sequel.) 3. Brute Force (Second best original Xbox game EVER.) And that's my two cents.
  10. "Yeah, that sounds good." Cole agreed with Electrobolt. "Now that I think about it, there's probably a dozen ways that could go wrong. We could crash, or the balloon could get punctured." His eyes went back to the trash can with the flyer in it. "For all we know, the free ballon part might be there just to increase sales and stuff. People do that all the time."
  11. Cole rolled his eyes. "I know there's homeless people here, I'm just saying that-" he countered, before giving up on the argument and looking back up at Canterlot. "Ok, so we have to get up there. The unicorns and earth ponies probably use hot air balloons since they don't have wings. The question is, where do we find one of those?" he mused, looking around for any signs of something to help them.
  12. Cole peered at the city in the distance. "It's- it's huge." he managed to stammer out. "The largest city on Earth's probably the size of a tarantula compared to that." Electro's got a point, though. he thought to himself. That's a long way to walk, and I doubt we could make it far. Besides, we have to stay with everyone else. He sighed in frustration. "There's gotta be a way to find some local work here. Discord can't have hindered businesses here this mu-" Cole suddenly stopped himself. "What am I saying, of course he did." he muttered. "He's planned out everything so far. Not that crazy to assume he'd hit this place where it hurts."
  13. Cole slapped a hoof to his face when Crystal mentioned the part about finding work. "He's got a point." he agreed, feeling like an idiot. Good thing he reminded us. That would have been stupid if we had just gone there without anything. Besides, who knows if we'll get back home. We might end up stuck here for the rest of our lives, so we might as well make the most of this while we can. He thought for a minute or two, and managed to come up with a plan. "I have an idea. We can start from the inn, make our way around town, then come back here and decide which job each of us wants." he offered. "It's better then wandering around in circles for the whole day."
  14. Cole nodded to Electrobolt and stretched his front hooves. "Alright. Where do you guys wanna go first?" he asked him and Crystal. "I'm thinking the market sounds pretty good, but it's your choice."
  15. I can't wait to see more of this place! This is gonna be so awesome! Cole thought excitedly. It's like a whole other world here. The things, the places...it's like Wonderland, almost. Except there's talking horses instead of people. He looked out the window and watched the ponies bustling by without a care in the world. It looked so nice out there. So peaceful. He almost wanted to stay... Cole flattened his hair with his hooves. Jeez, what am I thinking? he admonished himself. My parents are probably worried sick right now. Sam's probably trying to figure out what happened to me. And I want to stay here? Celestia, I can be so selfish someti- He paused for a second. He had said Celestia. Not God, Celestia. Maybe this place is trying to reconstruct my thought pattern into one of them. he guessed with a sudden chill. Maybe I'm going to end up here forever like this. He shook his head at that thought. I'm just getting paranoid, that's all. Cole assured himself. He turned back to Electrobolt and Crystal. "Sounds like a plan. Let's roll." he agreed.
  16. "I hear ya." Cole agreed with him, noting that the other pony looked more energetic then usual. "No more laying around sleeping for us!" He trotted off with Crystal following behind him and headed for the doors. Alright, this should be simple: Get Electrobolt, find the others, then whatever Artsy has planned. he thought. Easy enough. The two of them walked out of the hospital and entered the inn. As they went inside, Cole saw Electrobolt sitting in a chair. "Hey, Electro. Did you sleep good?" he greeted him.
  17. "Take it easy, they're fine." Cole assured him. "You've only been out for a few minutes." He observed Crystal hovering in midair and added, "And you might wanna save that for outside." Cole helped Crystal lower to the ground. "The last time I saw them, Artsy and Serah went off to a clothes shop. One of them said something about a Grand Galloping Gala, whatever that is." he informed him. "Want to go look for them?"
  18. Cole stood there staring at the now sleeping Crystal Flame. Damnit, why is everyone falling to sleep all of a sudden? he lamented. Was our fight with Discord that exhausting? He sighed in annoyance, setting up two chairs like a bed and putting Crystal on them. He then looked around, unsure what to do. I could go, but that'd be breaking the "No one wanders around alone" rule. I could stay here, but then that wouldn't really accomplish anything. he pondered to himself. So I'm essentially stuck between a rock and a hard place...
  19. After making sure Electrobolt was ok, Cole went outside and caught up with Crystal. "Sorry about that. He got all worked up for a second, so...." he explained. Noticing the bleeding pegasus he was carrying, he almost asked what happened to her before deciding it was none of his business. Looks like Sugarcube Corner will have to wait. he decided, following Crystal as best as he could.
  20. "We'll go to that cupcake place, I guess." Cole decided. What was the name again? "Sugarcube Corner, I think it was ca-" He was cut off by Electrobolt's yell. He looked and saw him wrapped up in his blankets, struggling to move. Thinking fast, he untangled Electro's blankets, hoping it would help him in some way.
  21. Cole pushed open the door to the inn. "Third room to the left, third room to the left..." he was muttering. He went up the stairs and looked to the left. He counted the doors until he reached the third one. "Right here." he added, pushing the door open. He went over to the bed and lowered Electrobolt onto it. He took a few steps back and observed the other pony sleeping soundly. "Right, then. That's out of the way." he spoke up, turning to Crystal Flame. "Where do you want to go first?"
  22. "I'm Cole." Cole responded to Crystal Flame. "And I had a headache, but that's gone now." He watched as Electrobolt started yawning. "Yeah. Come on, it's this way." he said to the exhausted pony, turning back to Crystal. "We'll drop him off at the inn, then we'll cruise around, I guess." he decided. He lifted Electrobolt onto his back. "Don't worry, the inn should be a few minutes away." Cole assured his...friend? Ally? He didn't know which one to adress him as, so he decided on ally for now. He resumed his journey to the inn, dwelling on this new line of thought.
  23. Cole nodded. He wondered what Ponyville would look like. The only time he had actually seen it without snow was when Discord had made it into that creepy ghost town. He shivered as he remembered how barren everything had looked. That could happen to both of our worlds if he wins. he realized. That could happen to any world. "Alright, then." Cole awkwardly began, trotting in the direction of Ponyville. Then he turned his head back to Electrobolt. "If you need help, just let me know." he assured him. With that, he turned again and resumed walking.
