    Well, one major reason is that Sunset is being set up to be the Twilight of EA. She will go through similar trials and tribulations, and very similar character growth. And if you looked at her expressions when viewing the book she is obivously still apprehensive about the whole ordeal, and she most likely does not view herself as emotionally ready or worthy to return to Equestria, and she may fear that she is still wanted for stealing the crown.

    I liked how she was in the background just zoning out (you can even see her in the cafiteria head bangin' to her own music while the dazzlings are bewitching the rest of the students), and her car transformer was pretty neat, if extremely over the top and a large reminder that this is just a kids cartoon. But it was rather nice to see the encorperate some of the background material into the forground, even if she didn't get a sailor moon ripoff transformation.
