  1. @Starforce It isn't in Spring Chicken's character to answer every comment. Silver Tongue loves small-talk, so if he weren't giving Aquarius his cue then he may have commented.
  2. @abrony-mouse Silver Tongue concentrated on her cutiemark, on his name, on destiny itself. This was not the first time, and it wouldn't be the last, that he relied on powers beyond his understanding. Into the calm of his mind he asked for the perfect timing. Soon enough, it answered him. Like a conduit, from his mind into the open air, he signaled to Aquarius with perfect timing. @Kujamih @Ocean Wavedream "Ah, don't worry dear, if you do well enough at our school, you'll have all the time in the world to figure it all out," Spring Chicken consoled Void, while giving a polite nod to Monsoon.
  3. @Starforce "What else is there to say? There is a school behind me, we teach necromancy, and we specialize in immortality. If you would like to attend, then the headmaster will be with us soon. If not, nopony will stop you from leaving." Spring Chicken's tone was as if she were offering something as simple as produce. "I could tell you the number of bricks we used, but that will take some time to count." @Kujamih Spring Chicken then turned her attention back to Void, "Ah, somepony with manners. My name is Spring Chicken, I teach our Life and Leadership courses." She was interrupted with a flash from Void's flank. Where fate was once hollow, now a pile of dust takes the stage. Not much of a difference when you think about it. "Oh! Would you look at that! It really does change! Now I see why you're so nervous. I'd be a bit on edge myself if my talent would change so casually."
  4. @Starforce @Kujamih Spring Chicken kept up her patient simper as Spiral Spell introduced herself in her analytical way. "You've barely even started, and you're already concerning yourself with the end goal. Yes, you can reject death, but one must learn to walk before one can run. Before that, one must know how to pick a good destination before it learns to walk, but you'll learn all about that in my class." "And, who is this?" She asked to the white pony behind Spiral "I've never meet a pony without a special talent before." @Windy Breeze @Ocean Wavedream She paid no mind to the conversation going on behind Spiral. She did hate interrupting. It was much more amusing to see what conclusions ponies come up with on their own.
  5. @Starforce Limbo Dreams voice echoed through Magloria's head, as it had so many times before. She did not stir from her slumber, but the tone was that of a bad omen, "Bedtime is burning. We must cherish these coming days. I will not spoil our time with a sour mood. So let us rejoice now. We will play our games late into the night and be merry." When Limbo says this, she nods in her sleep and goes from a neutral face to a smile. She gives two snorts to say she wants to go first. @ExplosionMare "I knew he'd leave," Miss. Pass said solemnly, "He tries so hard to hold onto the future that he forgets what he's missing here in the present." Limbo Pass holds onto Sombra's hoof. "The kids are getting along. I can't tell you how happy I am that someone understands my daughter. I can't imagine what she'd be going through if it weren't for Magloria."
  6. @ExplosionMare I appreciate your dedication to the character, but you can talk as Sombra. It's going to be difficult to go forward with just descriptions.
  7. @abrony-mouse Pinkie waved with a big smile over at Fuchsia. Limbo fought her hooves and their rising urge to grab Fuchsia by the scruff and slap some sense into her. It was a losing fight. However, at the last moment, empathy came to trounce her frustrations. It was a sudden shift of perspective. Limbo, for a moment, didn't see Fuchsia. She saw herself, and a bitter nostalgia threatened to lead her tears out of her eyes. When Fuchsia would look back to Limbo, she did not see the scorn of frustration but a smile of days past. Snapping back to the present, she processed Fuchsia's question. Fuchsia had no idea how cruel the task she had given her was. "I would also like to know. I never saw my mother's dreams. This morning was the first time I'd seen her. I shouldn't even recognize her, but, somehow, it's like she was always there." @ExplosionMare @Starforce Lyra looks to Moonlight approaching with uneasy eyes. On one hand, she did recognize her, and that familiarity carried some comfort with it, but on the other hoof, she was acting suspiciously. It was all too coincidental to her that Moonlight would meet her one moment, and her friend would suffer from this the next. To complicate her feelings further, a mare she was once adversarial toward was in her company. A strange mare that talked about extreme changes to one's way of life. The pink one had convinced BonBon to speak to her in private. It seemed more likely that she was responsible. Just to be safe, she gave them both a suspicious look.
  8. I found it odd that no one was acknowledging Spring Chicken. I just assumed everyone was meeting up before they approached the school.
  9. There will be no event. Spring Chicken is waiting patiently for everyone to get out from behind the tree-line and into the clearing in front of the school.
  10. What is this? My players are crafting a story all on their own? Is it Christmas already? Well, feel free to keep the conversation going as long as you want. I'll progress the story when a player approaches the school. To clear things up, a bright yellow mare with a red mane called Spring Chicken is standing in front of the entrance. The Hippogriff is behind the school's entrance while Spring Chicken is out in the open, so Spring Chicken should be easier to see. It's explained in the first in-character post.
  11. @Ocean Wavedream No worries @Kujamih It's late for me. I'll return to the RP first thing in the morning.
  12. @Starforce A strong application, like the last one. I'm assuming your applying for a student role. I approve.
  13. OOC @Starforce @Kujamih @Windy Breeze @Ocean Wavedream @abrony-mouse Silver Tongue stands at attention with his trusty ledger by his side. He stared down the forest as one would a new horizon. The sticks and leaves crunched under his hooves, with the well-swept cobbles behind him. The preparations were meticulous enough for him to confide in but complex enough to reignite his nerves. With Spring Chicken by his side, he whispered, "Is everything ready?" Spring Chicken didn't answer. She merely gave the same knowing smile she always knew. Those half-focused eyes gave doubt that she even understood Silver. Finally, Spring Chicken spoke, "Well, make sure the music teacher gets his que. You don't want the skeletons to be off-key. Your nerves will thank you for the distraction." "Are you sure you can handle this? Necromancy isn't exactly the most well-understood study. It'll be an uphill fight to convince the students that we mean well." "If I fail, then we will just have to try again." "That doesn't reassure me." The back-and-forth was cut short by a rustle of the underbrush. Silver retreated back under the open gate's stone arch and into onto the school's lawn. There, he was ready to give Aquarius the signal to conduct the skeletons. Spring Chicken stood there with her vacant smile, ready to welcome the new arrivals. These arrivals, who lost themselves in the nearest forest, would be transported from across Equestria's to this particular forest.
  14. @abrony-mouse As I was present throughout the construction of your character. Your acceptance is a formality. You are approved for the teacher role we discussed.
  15. I can imagine this at the head of his bed, and he drifts to sleep thinking of his family
  16. @Ocean Wavedream Very good. A single premise executed efficiently. I approve. @Starforce Opia is approved as discussed. @Kujamih Your character is approved. Your godly messages will come in DM's so try to stay on top of them. May this be your best RP yet.
  17. @Starforce This is a great submission. Lots of potential specific to this event, and a rich back story. My only complaint is that I would advise against limiting your character's emotional range. Though a tempting concept, it will prove more challenging as the story progresses. @Kujamih Your character has potential, but, if I may be so blunt, your reputation is lacking. I'll PM you a sample RP to gage weather you are capable of playing the part I have in mind. @Windy Breeze A respectable submission. I find no faults, and the backstory supplies plenty of potential. I approve.
  18. @Blitz Boom 'How peculiar,' Limbo thought, 'This pony's lexicon is limited, yet she understood me. Her understanding must outpace her speech by a wide margin.' It was the first time she had witnessed this phenomenon. So, she kept to the safe side and spoke in unambiguous terms. "Oh, let him go. He is bad company." Every step of the way, Limbo fought to simplify her speech. If the poet in her had its way, then she would never be understood. "I am far more interested in you!" Limbo then leaped with excitement before examining her new friend, picking up her tail, "What is this? Does it attract water? Does it wack away beasts? Oh, it makes you look like water, doesn't it?"
  19. @abrony-mouse She tilted her head up, only to wince and shield her eyes. Her recoiling revealed the true purpose of her sudden rise. It was not a show of confidence but to allow gravity to keep her tears in place. Like a catapult, the tears flow out onto the ground. Limbo finally decided to address the elephant in the room, "You'll have to forgive my mother." Limbo admitted, "She hasn't been herself in some time. She won't make this easy on us." The timing of the two was impeccable. Just as they entered, the legends themselves were unloading from the station. Limbo quickly averted her eyes from the latest princess. A pony of little remark harried over to the royal purple with a gasp and wide eyes. "Twilight! There's a situation in the town square! A pony needs help in we don't know what to do!" "Try not to draw attention to ourselves," Limbo whispered harshly, entirely unconfident in Fuchsia's ability to lay low.
  20. "Ka! Good news I bring! Ka!" "Nothing is lost! A pony has conquered death! You to can follow his example and nevermore fear your undoing! Ka!" "Lose yourself in the woods and follow the raven's call! Be prepared to learn, for the unending life is a convoluted path! Ka, ka, ka!" Crows across Equestria have preached this message for some time. Who will head their words? In Character RULES! (They can be broken if there is a good reason, but I'll be the one deciding what is and isn't a good reason. Be warned.) - You are limited to a single character. Chose wisely. - If your character leaves the RP, you can submit another one. - Alicorn OC's can get in so long as they have a good reason. (I'll be deciding what is and what isn't a good reason, but don't be afraid to try.) - Canon characters are allowed and welcome if you are confident that you can play them well. - Because MLP is inconsistent with it's level of technology, I'll set the base line to be before electricity and automation. (In other words, if you want something to move, you'll have to find a living being willing to move it) - No God Modding. This goes without saying but deserves restating. Note: When submitting a character, keep in mind that more information will give me a better idea of your character, but if you want us to learn more about your character as we go along, you can PM me all the details and I can approve you without you having to give away too much about your character to the rest of the RP. Just make sure you are descriptive when the RP starts if you decide to do this. General Guidelines: - Don't be afraid to end your post with investigating. I like telling explorative players what they found. - Don't be alarmed if you see a PM from me. Usually, I'm telling you information I don't want the rest of the RP to see until later. - Yes, it is a world with death, but try to be approachable. Apathy makes for bad storytelling. - Don't be afraid to be a little grandiose. This premise invites a lot of ambitious ponies. I don't mind working with a subplot here or there so long as it's related to the RP. - Have fun! This is a hobby, not a job. Accepted Characters/(Players): Students: - Spiral Spell (Starforce) - Dark Void (Kujamih) - Thamani Muziki (Windy Breeze) - Dr. Clue/Monsoon (Ocean Wavedream) Teachers: - Aquarius (abrony-mouse)
