  1. I'm not one to give advice here..

During my middle school years, I was being bullied.

I told my dad about it, and he told me to kick the bully' s a$$.

So the next day, when the bullying began, I clocked him in the jaw.

Most the ensuing fight...but be never bullied me again.

    Respect, I guess.

All throughout my ensuing school years, every time a bully seed was about to be planted in my garden, I nipped that sh*t in the bud. With violence.

I had a reputation for standing up for myself, and I pretty much became unbullyable due to the fact that I never lost a fight.

Sure, I traded that for a bunch of suspensions...but I'd do it all again. It was definitely worth it.

So, kids. Moral of the story is, "don't take no sh*t".

  2. Bad energies? What, there are people that actually believe in that stuff? *blows raspberry*

Clothes were invented as a way to protect us from the the elements.

Skin cancer, pneumonia, f*cking giant shards of glass...

Just some of the many things that wearing clothes help protect against. It's kind of a bigger deal than...sh*t..."Bad vibes".

Somewhere along the way, it became the norm to wear clothes, and nudity became a private matter.

    It's a matter of decency.

"Buy hey, Datte, decency is only what humanity has made it to be--BLARGH". It doesn't matter.

We've evolved into learning that certain things should only be done in the privacy of our own homes. We're civilized. That's the definition of the word. I don't question it.

I've heard that certain tribes in the Amazon pierce their scrotums with porcupine needles, do you wanna adopt that custom too?

How about the ones that shower themselves in dung and mud to stay cool because the sun is a brutal bastard and they have no clothes to stop it?

Or, because YOLO, the people that have to live with Elephantitis because they don't wear shoes?

Also, it's generally accepted that it's weird to shower more than twice a week in Europe, wanna try that? (Not taking a dig at my European comrades)

    Look.

I like the naked body just as much as the next guy (I'm gonna go out on a limb and say OP does too). To you, the human body may be "beautiful and nothing to be ashamed of", but it's certainly not something many would want to see, day to day, every time you go to the grocery store to get some milk. In my humble opinion, being gun-shy around naked people is nothing at all bad. It means you are a decent person.

Y'all can site all the marginal-to-nonexistent health benefits and different cultures you want.

Until you, generally, start going to school/work naked everyday and try to act like it's normal and can say that you felt zero shame, you have no leg to stand on in the "nudity should be universal" fight.

You know what they say, friends:

    "The world ends with you".

  3. Both the british and american stereotypes are really bad.

    Like 'All americans are fat'

Or 'all brits drink tea and eat crumpets' (most of us LOVE tea, but not alot of us like crumpets!

And as for the queen, she isnt that popular with the people!

Hey hey, if you're gonna drop that bombshell, a more fair stereotype that goes with your American one would be "all brits have bad teeth" or "all brits smell bad". x)
  4. Narp, Lauren Faust said she had a mid-atlantic accent when talking about her creation.

Add to the fact that none of her parents or Sweetie Belle have this accent (they have more of a Minnesotan accent), and this shoots the idea Down.

I'd say trans-atlantic too. Pipsqueak on the other hand... :P

He only talked like that when he was in a pirate costume though.

When he was asking Luna if Nightmare Night was still a thing,be didn't have the accent anymore.

  5. @@Scoots and Dash

I'm like that too. I find sharks really interesting, especially the Great White, but I have a ridiculous irrational fear of them

Apparently on average 2,900 people annually are kill by hippopotamuses in Africa.

They look ridiculous, but they're really dangerous.

And according to the Discovery Channel, in a hypothetical fight between a hippo and a bull shark, the hippo would win:

    Irrational...

    Yeah, friend. Sure.

And coconuts don't eat you alive. ;o

  6. Touché.

(But remember that at the end of each episode, there's that hypnotic heart-shaped background? :D Even the dot of the i from Girls is a heart)

I agree that the show can be watched by boys too, even today I really enjoy watching it. But the first impression I had when I saw the 3 main characters is that it was for girls.

That's it's charm, it's niche. It can go from deceptively cute to mothers-calling-for-heads style violence faster than you can wonder why the f*ck is this on TV. x)

  7. I think she's an ok character, but I have a strong feeling that the vast majority of her fandom likes her just because she's "of the night", so it makes her "dark" and "edgy". Then add in the sympathetic backstory and you got yourself a character the masses will love!

Someone hide this from Tim Burton.

    He'll go apesh*t with Luna...
