    Note to self, never let anyone decide on how to do my hair again... They cut it so short and I'm already freaking out because I can't hide away in it anymore, I feel so exposed, like a soldier without his shield...

      You don't need hair to hide. Just block people out if you need to, focus on something in your mind and the outside world should just fall away.
