"The sun-witch has much to answer for," he told Maple. "From banishing our moon goddess and later imprisoning her in the false-princess.... plus any number of infractions against her supposed 'subjects'." His eyes lifted to gaze upon the royal towers in the distance. "All that power, and she doesn't even use it... what a waste."

@Maple Bat @dosey doe Nova grinned as he glanced back at Maple. "Do I detect a hint of resentment in your voice?" he asked with a chuckle. "Didn't care much for all this...'harmony' and 'friendship'?" He waved a hoof around while speaking. "I don't blame you. I can almost taste it in the air. It's so... repulsive..."

@Maple Bat @dosey doe There were two stallions standing at either side of the main entrance to the tower, both wearing clean suits and ties, clearly acting as subtle guards. They glanced at Nova as he and Maple Bat exited, a bit surprised at having to look UP at a pony for a change. With his cloak hiding his wings and cutie mark, Nova simply appeared as a tall unicorn. Hopefully, nopony in Canterlot would sense otherwise. Picking a direction, he starting off walking down the street, Maple following closely. His eyes moved about the various ponies as they went about their business, studying them. "They look so content, don't they?" he asked Maple. "Not a care in the world. I wonder if everypony in Equestria is so carefree. It's amazing that no one has been able to take over yet, wouldn't you think?"

@Maple Bat @dosey doe Nova stood by the windows in the main room of the suite, watching the Manahattan citizens scurrying by on the streets below. Perhaps I should explore this city, he thought, learn a bit more about the ponies that live here. Maybe there are others who would welcome Nightmare Moon back. After several more minutes, he made his decision. "Maple Bat!" he called out, "let's go for a walk!" Using his magic, he pulled a black cloak from his room, and wrapped it around his body. A male alicorn would be easily noticed, but with his wings hidden, he would appear like just a large unicorn...

@Maple Bat @dosey doe Swirls of magic energy moved slowly around Nova as he stood in the middle of his room, eyes closed in concentration. In his mind he could see his target hovering above.... His eyes opened in a flash, glowing with energy, as a pulse of dark magic shot from his horn to scorch the ceiling. Another moment later, and parts of it started to crumble away, revealing an very startled mare shaking in the remains of the servant's kitchen. He sighed, and headed out into the main room of the suite. Suddenly, a voice spoke into his head: "Since it will be a day and more before I arrive, Lord, please use this time to find out more about Ponyville from Maple, if you can. I should especially like to know if Celestia has ever been seen speaking with anypony in town on a regular basis. I shall make small talk with other passengers on the train and discover what I may." Recognizing the voice as Force's he turned and focused his magic on the sending stone in his room... "I will discover what I can and let you know who to study. Perhaps there is somepony there that Celestia cares enough about that she'll come if they're in trouble" His message sent, he released the stone from his magic and went looking for Maple Bat....

No problem! All, obviously things will slow down a bit while he's gone, so don't worry. @WiiGuy2014, have fun in Disney! My mother worked at Epcot for a year after she retired from teaching (wanted to escape Chicago winter, lol). lot's of fun to be had when hanging out with the Mouse! EDIT: almost forgot, if you/your family orders a disney photo disk of your pictures during the trip, it will get printed by the company I work at! I won't see it personally, too many, lol, but it will come from here! just a fun fact!

"Blend in with the local ponies and get all the information you can about Celestia's visits to that town. Prepare a plan to draw her out, and contact me once you are ready." He turned to face Maple. "In the meantime, return to your training. I will also be practicing with my dark magic. Unless you have any other suggestions?"

@Maple Bat @dosey doe Nova started pacing again. "I assume you don't want to be recognized by anypony. Very well." he stopped in front of Force. "What do you think? This town sounds worthy of investigating, but would you be up to the task alone? Or do you have an alternate idea?"

@Maple Bat @dosey doe "I have had visions," Nova told Maple, "and I see Celestia going there. Tell me, does she appear there often? Is the town of some importance to her?" He started to slowly pace around her room. "If something were to happen there.....would it draw her out?"

@dosey doe @Maple Bat "Very well, then we shall ask her," Nova replied, and headed straight for the door, opening it with his magic. A few moments later he opened the door to her room. He didn't knock, as Nova had a bit of an arrogant streak in him. He was just used to getting his own way, as the Adepts had rather spoiled him as they raised him and taught him dark magic. "Maple," he said, "I understand that you have information about a town called, Ponyville...."

Nova turned to Force. "I have been seeing visions of a small town near the mountain where the sun-witch lives." He started pacing again. "It seams that whenever the town falls to crisis, she appears to restore order, or some such." He stopped pacing and faced her. "I am not familiar with this town. Do you have any knowledge?"

@Maple Bat @dosey doe He floated among the whisps of air, nothing around him but emptiness. Concentrating, a world slowly formed around him, and he found himself hovering just below the clouds. "What is this place?" he asked, looking around at the rolling hills and forests. A mountain was just off to one side, a castle built into its side. And below it, almost at his hooves... ...a village. His eyes narrowed as he floated towards the simple hoof-built structures. "Why show me this place?" he questioned. "I must see her. I must see the castle, not some quaint little town!" But he continued to float downwards into the village... and he watched as a chariot carrying Princess Celestia came down from her castle to land in the square. Six ponies came out to greet her, including one he was told was the Princess of Friendship. Then Celestia returned to her chariot and flew back to her castle. The sky filled with light.... And Nova opened his eyes. He had been trying to meditate, to focus on Celestia and Luna. But all he got was the same vision as he had the past several days. Each time he saw that town, something would happen, and Celestia would appear...and leave just as suddenly. What did it mean? "Wait," he muttered, thinking. "Each time, she comes. Each time something happens there, she comes down. That town must be important to her for some reason." He started pacing, trying to decide what to do. "I can't reveal myself too soon... but..." he stopped, and a grin crossed his face. "Force Magnitude! Come to me!" he called, knowing she would hear either his voice or his thoughts. "I have an errand for you!"

@Maple Bat, @dosey doe Nova stood firm for a few moments, before coming to a decision and turning to Maple. "Go ahead and entertain yourself," he told her. "I will retire to my chamber and meditate." With a nod, he headed down the hall into a large bedroom.... ----------------------- Several floors below, Ennex stepped up to a door being guarded by two strong looking stallions. One reached to push the door open, revealing a windowless room with a simple metal desk and two chairs. As he entered, he watched the mare sitting in one chair, trying to read her features under her purple cloak and grey hat, her red glasses turning to watch him enter. "Ah, Miss Yearling," he began, "welcome back. I trust you have received my request?" "I don't work for hire," she told him. "I work to preserve artifacts for-" "Yes yes," he cut her off with a wave. "But surely you can make exceptions. How much in dept to that publisher are you again?" he asked with a grin. She snorted. "How do you know about that?" "The benefits of being the supplier of printing materials to said publisher," he told her matter-of-factually. "In fact, I could arrange for any said dept to be cleared. In exchange for a small favor...." She sighed. "Fine. I'll get that moon rock for you. But then we're even!" Ennex smiled. "Splendid! I'll have my.... associates, show you out then." He tapped the table, and the two guards came in to lead her out of the building. Ennex chuckled to himself. It was all coming together nicely....

No, Luna is still free and hanging out in Canterlot with her sister. But their plan is to capture her, bring her back to their clan, and force her back into NMM. @Maple Bat @dosey doe Nova turned to Maple, looking slightly down at her as he stood almost a head taller. "As much as I hate to admit it, there is logic to his demand. Very well." He led them over to an open doorway and the large elevator waiting beyond. A black-clad stallion stood just outside of it, gesturing them inside. "My Master is expecting you," he said in a deep accented voice. Nova nodded, and led his companions inside. The doors slid shut and the elevator started moving down. He looked around, a bit surprised as having never been in such a thing before, only having read about them. After a few moments they came to a halt and the doors slip open once again, this time revealing a blue pony with black glasses waiting. "Ah, Lord Nova," he said with a bow, voice firm but full of authority, "Welcome to my humble abode. My name is Ennex, and I will be managing your activities while in Equestria." "Why am I here, and not heading to Canterlot?" Nova demanded. "How can I confront the sun-witch* from within this tower of yours?" "Patience, my Lord," he replied. "Patience. Wheels have been set in motion, pawns are finding their final positions. The game board is still being arranged, and until we are ready to declare 'checkmate', any attempt at challenging Celestia could still be defeated. Even now I am working to solidify our position." A mare entered the room and came to whisper something in Ennex's ear. He nodded, and with a glance of fright at Nova she left. "If you will excuse me," he said to Nova, "I have a small matter to attend to." He waved a hoof around. "Feel free to use my apartments as your home for the time being. I trust you and your companions" nodding at Maple and Force "will be comfortable. The staff is at your command." And with another small bow, he turned and left the room. Nova frowned as the doors closed behind their host. He was impatient, and wanted to challenge Celestia NOW! But the Elder Adepts held Ennex in high regard, so with a deep sigh decided to trust in their judgement. At least, for now.... (*sun-witch is an insult Nova's group uses for Celestia)

@Maple Bat, @dosey doe He stood on the rooftop observing the city below, as the pegasas ponies that had pulled the pair of wagons through the sky were busy unloading luggage. The wind on top of the skyscraper was much stronger than at street level, and it blew against the ends of his cloak. Not normally one to keep hidden, his caretakers had insisted on it. 'To keep the population calm', they had said, 'until the time was right'. He snorted. There was no better time. He was ready do complete his mission. Nopony in this overblown city could do anything to stop him, so why hide? Why not go straight to Canterlot itself? A glance at the roof under his hooves reminded him of the answer. A pony called Ennex was a powerful businesspony, and leader of the city's criminal underground, was a strong supporter of the Adepts. It was he who had suggested a more....quiet arrival into Equestria instead of storming right up to the castle and calling the sun-witch out. He must have strong reasons, and Nova was determined to hear them. Finally, he turned back from the tower's edge to face the two Adepts who had accompanied him, ready to head inside the building...
