  1. Rarity being the nurse pony, I'm scared of the blood tests but i'd let her take my blood <3

OMG, YOU too?! I absolutely despise blood tests! Last time, they had to stick BOTH my arms! It was not pleasant.

Anyway, June 2nd was MY Rarity's Birthday! (According to her BaB certificate, that's when she came home with me)

And this is what she got! Because Mummy is a sucker. XD Though, in my defence, two of those dresses WERE on clearance.

  2. I had to have been twelve or thirteen. (I remember writing smut at 13/14) I never got "the talk." Instead, I started taking sex ed in the fifth grade. Except, in fifth grade it was more of a "puberty happens" thing, but once I got to middle school they really started talking about it. Plus, my parents were always really honest about it. My dad is all "I don't care if you have sex. Sex is fun. Just use protection." My mum tends to be a bit more reserved though.

  3. I only ever regret it when my parents give me crap about it. In fact, sometimes I wish I could re-wire myself into being a normal twenty-one-year-old woman just so they would shut up. But, I just can't. (Yeah, it's weird. I'm a GIRL. A person expected to like cute things...And I get crap about this.)

I get sick of being told to "stop buying pony crap" and to "grow up." Heck, even my Aunt told my Dad that he should "straighten me out." I know, I know, everyone else's problems are a lot worse, but this still bugs me. My parents are rather old-fashioned, you see. They basically operate on the idea that once I turned eighteen, I should have just became a grownup and moved on. They just don't understand that things are different and times are changed and that it's OKAY for young adults to be invested in fandoms and collect things like I do. That, just because they don't think it's "appropriate" doesn't mean other people do. In fact, they told me that, it's so NOT okay for guys to be bronies at all and that they're either all gay or losers who live in their parents' basement. I'm not easily offended, but that pissed me off. I have guy friends who are bronies who are perfectly "normal" people! To put it simply, they just don't get it. And I don't think they ever will. Trying to defend ANY part of my fandom life to them is like talking to a bloody wall. You think they would just be happy I don't smoke or drink or have two kids like everyone else my age. But, no. I worry them.

However, despite this. I still ADORE and will continue to be a part this fandom. In fact, met one of my best friends (on-line) through this forum! And I love how we're all a community and how there's always something new to discover about the show or the fandom. For example, I suck at analysing this show, but others are awesome with it! And really help give me insight to the hidden things in it, since I tend to be interested in the production aspects of the shows I like. This fandom is awesome. I like the community feel and how, for the most part, I've always felt like what I had to say in it was relevant, albeit mundane.

  4. Don't judge me, but I just started watching Sekaii-ichi Hatsukoi.

    post-28987-0-05398200-1429420965_thumb.jpg

It kept showing up in these MEPs I was watching and the artork was pretty, so I decided to see what all the fuss was about. It should be noted that I am SO not into Yaoi (one look at my anime list will tell you that..It's mainly shojo and magical girl) but I figured I'd give the show a chance and it's pretty decent so far. Plays out like a normal, anime love story...but with guys. And the background stuff about manga publishing is really helping me with one of my stories! (I have a character who's a mangaka).

  5. The latest piece of merch I own, a friend actually bought for me. It was this pony cup .post-28987-0-53936000-1429416111_thumb.jpg

And I also got Luna AND Cadance. Together. For $23. How? I hoarded $30 worth of Build-a-Bear coupons and used them all at once. Though, I don't think the lady at the register was amused. XD

    post-28987-0-76111300-1429418862_thumb.jpg

I have their outfits too, BTW. They're just not wearing them in this picture.

  6. Hello Everypony!

I know it's been awhile...I just haven't found anything particularly interesting to share until recently...Kind of happens when you get stuck at home with no money...

Anyway, about a week ago, my friend and I went to a supermarket and found a TY display...With ONE lone Rarity. Now, we didn't buy here, because I already have one...But I DID fix her hair. it was atrocious before I got a hold of her. This was the result:

Plus, for Easter the same friend got me a tiny TY Rarity keychain!

    post-28987-0-03348200-1429414218_thumb.jpg

And one of those cute, freezable cups...Featuring her!

    post-28987-0-28799200-1429414238_thumb.jpg

In other words, I've had a lot of nice, Rarity encounters lately!

  7. Long time, no see Darlings!

I've been busy with some stuff...But I went out with my friend yesterday. We were just wasting time in places like Target and Kmart and...Look what I found!

    post-28987-0-66437300-1425635061_thumb.jpg

Fabulous things!!! My only complaint? I feel like they should have used a better colour...like purple for the keychain.

Also, after she got voted most attractive pony, Rarity got a nice new dress (and matching bows)! Because she deserved it. And because Mummy is a sucker.

  8. I drive an automatic because I haven't learned stick yet. But, I do want to learn one day. The only manual car we have is my dad's truck and I'm too small to drive it. My friend offered to teach me in her car, but I have another problem. I can't drive for crap with just the left hand (I'm American) so in order for me to drive stick, I need a European car, because I'm great at driving with the right hand! It's weird.

  9. I like kids. Because I'm a kid at heart. Also, I spent a lot of time doing Elsa Meet and Greets over the summer, so I developed a love and a high tolerance for young children. However, if they're running around screaming and destroying my department, yes, I will find them irritating. But, for the most part I find them cute and I love talking to them. They're so imaginative and innocent and adorable!

  10. I don't ever wear shoes outside if I can get away with it! I hate wearing shoes...and socks for that matter. But, if it's cold, I will put slippers on. In the summer, when I have to go out, I LIVE in my favourite Monster High flip-flops.

Side note: At my college, it's OKAY to not wear shoes to class! In fact, it's encouraged. I was like, "I love this place."

  11. I watched my first animes before I even knew what anime was, and those would be Sailor Moon, Dragon Ball Z and Pokemon. Then, I tripped into the film case at the library when I was twelve and found one of the old Sailor Moon films and it was all downhill from there. I was a weeaboo for three years and then I slowly started to calm down. I do still watch anime casually, but I'm not all crazy into it like I was during those awful years. And I've recently gone back and fixed up and rehashed some of my old fanfics and OCs and made them better too.

And, compared to some, my list of anime I've watched is pathetic:

Fruits Basket, Sailor Moon (including Crystal), Inu-Yasha, Tokyo Mew Mew, Mermaid Melody Pichi Pichi Pitch, Ultra Maniac, (Manga) Ojamajo DoReMi, Pretty Cure (Heartcatch is my favourite),Pokemon, Kodocha, Ouran High School Host Club, The Record of a Fallen Vampire (Manga), Fushigi Boshi no Futago Hime, Black Bird (Manga. But I stopped caring once I found out they had a SON), Moon Phase, Hanamaru Kindergarten, Chu-Bra, Lilpri, Toradora, Space Battleship Yamato (the original) and Death Note.

  12. In primary school, we used to have races with these scooter-things. Like, you sat on them and pushed them with your feet.

We also played this game called "Clean your lawn" where we would split into two sides and the teacher would scatter these soft, yarn-ball things around, and the object of the game was to throw the all of the ball onto the other team's "lawn." I liked this game mainly because of the colourful yarn-balls. XD

  13. Is there really a 50 Shades fan base? Ugh...

Yes. At least, I'm going to assume there is because of the popularity of the book. The reason I'm not 100% sure is because I so DO NOT go looking for this stuff. For good reasons. But I DO know there are people out there who defend this tripe.

  14. Any shippers/people with waifus - Fuck you and your arguments.

I'm 50/50 on this one. It's the obnoxious, rapid shippers that grind my gears. You know, the ones who are like, "I love these two characters. So they must be together" with little to no context or even an attempt to create some via decent writing and development. This goes double for OC ships. I'm okay with them if you have a well-developed OC with a purpose in the story and the character's life. I don't like it when people create OCs just to be love interests because they want to get with said character.  The need a story. A reason to be in the plot.

However, on the other hand, I'm a shipper myself and advocate that we are not ALL completely insane. I try my hardest to make my pairings make sense and work in context. This means I do a lot of research and watch the show again and again and try and make valid points as to why my pairing should be a thing. i.e. Silk

Anyway, the fandoms I have a problems with are Harry Potter, and any part of the SuperWhoLock fandom. Personally, I've hardly seen anything good come out of these fandoms. Just a bunch of obnoxious gifs and a need to make EVERYTHING about their fandom. There's not a sentence in existence that is not a reference to these people.

Also, 50 Shades simply because...I'm appalled that it's even a thing. That book was BAD and not even good bad. Just bloody BAD.

  15.

I'm confused, what are you trying to say? Are you talking about young people who use phones?

I'm trying to say that I don't understand all these people being like, "I hate that we can't use our phones in school!" Because I never took my phone to school and I turned out just fine. I don't get this whole thing with people being SOOOO attached to their phones. Even though I'm a young person myself.

    • Brohoof 1
  16. Firstly, what is the deal with you kids and your phones? I'm a young person and I honestly believe you don't need phones in school. It's an unnecessary distraction. I mean, WHO are you people talking to 24/7? I get bored with text conversations after twenty minutes. Besides, anyone under the age of fourteen doesn't need a mobile anyway.

Anyway, when I was in high school I always thought it was stupid that we got marked late and punished if we were late for lunch. And once you were in the cafeteria it was hella difficult to get out, even if you had to go to the bathroom. And then, you needed to go get a signed pass from the lunch monitor. Oh, and half the bathrooms were locked anyway! But other things? Want to go study in the library? Nope. Go out in the courtyard? Also a negative. I went to school in the middle of the country  with cornfields and farms on all sides and they didn't trust ANYONE. They have to keep tabs on all students at all times and it's gotten worse. I know because my brother is in his last year at that school.

Oh, and in middle school we weren't allowed to wear sandals or flip flops in the summer. Why? Dunno. But it ticked me off because I hated shoes and socks (I still do) and having to wear sneakers every day did not amuse 12-year-old me.

  17. Past Cosplays:

    Kaito (Vocaloid)

    America (Hetalia)

    CC (Code Geass)

    Roxas (Kingdom Hearts II)

    Future cosplay:

    Prussia (Hetalia)

Yes, I do like to cross dress a lot. I'm not sure why but... I think most of it is due to my weight. I've been having a hard time losing weight lately and in the past due to anxiety and other special needs. Most of the costumes for anime girls are sort of well... not appropriate for a person who's sort of chubby. ><

It's okay. I have a friend that mostly does crossdressing cosplay. She does L (Death Note), Tamaki (OHSHC), and Naruto among others. And, as for the weight thing, while I agree that certain costumes shouldn't be worn by certain people, I also think that, if you want to make something work, just go for it, even if you have to modify it. If it makes you happy, just do it. Cosplay for YOU.

I mean, I run into certain problems too. I am 5'0 and look like I'm fourteen. I'm also a little thicker than some other girls (I've got wide shoulders and big arms because genetics. I'm built like my daddy.) And sometimes I fear I'm doing it wrong, especially with Elsa. But, you know what? The kids don't care. They love me anyway. I just work with what I have and make sure I do it as much justice as I can, whether that means spending extra time on my makeup or watching Frozen five times over and reading a ton of articles to get her character perfect. Just try your best and work with what you got. I mean, like I said, I'm short. Way too short to be Kyoya. But I'm cosplaying him anyway. Because I like the idea of the acting challenge. (Besides, my friend who plays Tamaki is short too. So, we'll be obnoxiously short together.)

  18. When I was ten I was Kim Possible for Halloween and that was pretty sweet.

Now, I cosplay Elsa from Frozen. I spent several weekends over the summer playing her at work to help raise money for the children's hospital we're affiliated with. We made a crapton of money over that month. And now, I sometimes do it just because and go to the mall and stuff and just make kids happy.

I've also done Anne Boleyn....But she's not a fictional character. XD

And, when my tax refund comes in I'll have new cosplay. My first cross-dressing, actually. I'm going to be Kyoya from Ouran High School Host Club. (And I'm trying Haruhi too... )

  19. Anybody going to see 50 Shades of Gray? I'm totally not going to!  You'd have to pay me a heck of a lot to sit through that. I tortured myself enough reading the book. The "hero" in that is a creepy abusive stalker. Peddling that sort of junk is the sort of thing that makes me hate Valentine's Day.

THANK YOU SOOOOOO MUCH for this! That book was AWFUL and not even good awful. Just bloody &^%$ing awful. I am HALF the author's age and I can write better smut. I mean, really! That book made me want to THROW THINGS. Then again, it did start out as a bad Twilight fanfic. I am the ONLY sane women at my workplace apparently. Because my coworkers were all, "OMG this book is amazing! You're going to LOVE IT!" And I'm like, "You wouldn't know good writing if it bit you on the butt."

Anyway, Happy Valentine's Day, my lovelies!

    post-28987-0-24629800-1423903784_thumb.jpg

I'm not much into it myself...But I like the part where I can go get half-priced chocolate after it's over. My cat is actually my valentine. But only if she feels like it.
