  1. Yes. There are some really well thought out pieces out there.

For me, the thing that makes or breaks a piece of fan fiction is how well it fits into canon. If something directly contradicts canon, then that kills it for me as far as taking it seriously goes. Of course it can still be an enjoyable story, but it has to have something else going for it to persuade me to read it — like being really funny for example.

Something like Fallout: Equestria deals with very serious issues, and does so in a way that rather than contradicting canon, builds upon it, adding another layer. (Actually, it does contradict canon in various places, but it didn't at the time it was written — events in canon happened which made some of its assumptions incorrect. So I can forgive it.)

  2. Prefer baths, but never have the time for them. :(

How do you even wash your hair in the bath anyways? Do you like lather it up, let it sit, and then submerge yourself when you're done?

Shampoo doesn't need to "sit". It can be rinsed out straight away.

Conditioners usually work better if you leave them in for a few minutes.

  3. They each exhibit some masculine and some feminine traits. (As do most ponies, and indeed most people.)

lesbian? Again, no offence to anypony

Based on the ponies we see on screen, Equestria's population is around 70% female. So my headcanon says that bisexuality and lesbianism are fairly common amongst female ponies.

  4. I love them! Tinker Bell has been listed in the "Interests" bit on my profile here since I signed up.

The second and third films were a bit "meh". The Secret of the Wings I found uncannily like Frozen. (It came out before Frozen, but they are both Disney films, so perhaps there was some cross-pollination there?) But I love Frozen, so I love it. The Pirate Fairy is probably the best of the bunch.

Good stuff, although I'm thinking the super-sexy style of the female fairies isn't psychologically or socially healthy for the target audience (unless the target audience is teenage boys and young adult men... )

That's for thirty-something-year-old fathers, to make them say, "hey, kids, let's watch that Tinker Bell film again."

I am one of these people.

Sunset Shimmer is also for us.

    And all of the Dazzlings.

    Especially Sonata.

  5.

when i have my own someday i wont be so nervious about it

Haha! You'll be a hundred times more nervous... about every aspect of everything!

And then the second one comes along, and you're an old pro. And you're like "what's he eating off the floor? ahhh... doesn't matter, we haven't put any rat poison down recently, so I'm sure it'll be fine."

  6. I have two kids who are now out of the age range under discussion (0–3). Mine are 4 and 6. I've also got nieces and nephews who are 9, 7, 5, and 4 years old, and a brand new nephew who's only 5 weeks old. D'awww!

All kids can be irritating some of the time. Some kids can be irritating all of the time.

  7.

I can't stand the look of the human foot. It's hideous.

    Speak for yourself.

    Mine are spectacular!

What's the point when you're just stepping on carpet/tiles/timber?

If it was just the flooring, I'd agree. I always end up stepping on sharp plastic toys though.

  8. Caps Lock is fairly useless. Once upon a time, before the advent of word processors that supported things like bold and italics, it served a purpose. Sometimes you needed to emphasise a block of text, and capitalizing it was the only option. Holding down shift while typing a lot of text can be a little annoying.

On my laptop, I've reprogrammed the Caps Lock key to serve a different purpose. It now acts as a compose key. This means I can type:

    • CapsLock, then "e", then apostrophe, and I get: é
    • CapsLock, "O", "c" → ©
    • CapsLock, "T", "M" → ™
    • CapsLock, "o", "o" → °
    • CapsLock, "1", "2" → ½
    • CapsLock, "8", "8" → ∞
    • CapsLock, "P", "P" → ¶

And so on. Now that my Caps Lock key has been given a new purpose in life, I'm a lot happier, and I think that it is too!  :)

  9. Most of my favourites weren't on the list, so I had to vote "Other".

Which cheese is best depends on what you're using it for. For general eating, my favourite cheeses are Wigmore, Roquefort, Camembert, Stilton, and Flower Marie. These are good for eating with crackers, in cheese sandwiches, or making cheese on toast. Though some of them can be a bit strong, so for a sandwich or toast, you might want to blend them with a milder cheese like Cheddar, Red Leicester, or Double Gloucester. These last three cheeses are also good if you want a mild cheese that doesn't obscure the flavours of other ingredients in a cheese-and-X sandwich (cheese and pickle, cheese and onion, cheese and tomato, cheese and ham, etc). For pizza, I'll use Mozzarella, sometimes supplemented with Cheddar or Red Leicester. For pasta, Parmigiano-Reggiano or Grana Padano.

People actually like blue cheese? EUGGHH.

Google for "fromage des rois et des papes".
