  1. I have drawn some things, but I'm not very good.

I'm better at writing, so I'm doing that now. I've even made it into the "featured box" on Fimfiction twice.

I'm pretty good at programming so maybe one day I'll make a MLP game.

I started writing a 2D platformer, but due to my aforementioned not being very good at drawing, went looking for some people to draw sprites, backgrounds, etc. Not much interest, so it stagnated. :(

Here's a little demo of what I had so far.

  2. And... am i the only one seing a bit of irony here?

You are not. There was recently a story on Fimfiction hovering around the second or third most popular story on the site which dealt with the relationship between Sunny and that horse. It is extremely NSFW so I shall not post a link, or even tell you what it's called.

  3. Divergent: Insurgent. I just saw this last Friday

I liked the first one. Would like to see the sequel.

Last film I saw at the cinema was Frozen Fever + Cinderella.

Watched Finding Nemo on TV today though.

  4. 1, 3, and 5 are really a cut above. Just excellent work. Especially 5 because it's simple yet beautiful.

Yes, I think simple is better. Which is another reason I voted for 5 and 9. (Though I think the actual text in 9 seems like an afterthought.) 5 totally deserves to win.

Actually @Coby's signature totally deserves to win, but that wasn't one of the options I could vote for.

  5. I just hope these songs get released on DVD eventually. The thought of never being able to own Shimmy's magnificent solo drives me nuts.

It's on Youtube, right? See savefrom.net.

  6.

    is that a new outfit??

It is indeed. She's wearing it in two of the videos. (I don't think she appeared in the Rarity video, though that has some nice LyraBon.)

I like the dress, but I don't think it goes well with her jacket.

  7.

He is even shown to be someone who plays the guitar (which is a pretty hard thing to do), yet not once do you hear him play it

It's not that hard. But actually he does have a little guitar solo in the cafeteria song.

  8. I quite like the recent BBC adaptation.

What you need to remember is that Arthur Conan Doyle never intended for Sherlock Holmes to be some great historical work. He wrote Sherlock Holmes for the here and now. It just so happened that he did it over a century ago. These are stories it absolutely makes sense to update to the current time period. If Doyle were alive today, I imagine that he'd be writing Holmes pretty much the same as how the BBC have done.

(For what it's worth, I used to read the originals back when I was around 12, and was quite a fan, though I always preferred Agatha Christie.)

  9. m not grossed out by haggis, but rather by who ever decided that it was a good idea to start throwing random organs together and eating them.

And it's better to kill a second animal to eat when there's still perfectly edible parts left of the first one?

Haggis is pretty good. Most of the real flavour comes from the herbs and spices put in it, and a lot of the bulk comes from the oats. And you don't eat the stomach anyway - it's just the container. It's really not conceptually that different from sausages, which were traditionally made from the cheaper, tougher cuts of meat and offal, padded out with breadcrumbs, and used intestines for the casing.

In other news, black pudding is delicious.

    ((@))

Silver Spoon knew she had to come clean. Diamond Tiara would never truly understand of course, but that didn't mean that she wouldn't be supportive. "Diamond, the real reason I'm trying to sell all this tea is to save up enough bits to buy a new necklace. Daddy says he won't buy it for me and I already spent all my Hearth's Warming Eve money."

She trotted around to the other side of the trolley and started rearranging things. "I had to find some way to earn a few bits, and making tea seemed like the best way to do it. Or the least worst anyway."

Silver Spoon sighed and didn't even try to explain. Even when she tried being nice, it always backfired. Daddy was right; she should just look out for herself.

At least Eloquence and Sweetie seemed to get it. Maybe Sweetie could have showed her thanks by warning her before shaking herself dry? Would that have been too much to ask?

Eloquence's pet bird hopped onto her mane. She appreciated that it was just trying to be friendly, but Silver Spoon really hoped she wouldn't ruin her plait. Without unicorn magic it took ages to get right. Oh well, she thought, I suppose I could always corner Snips and Snails and make them do it.

"We've been here half an hour and we've made, what, like four nests?" She pointed at one of Sweetie's earlier efforts. "Four and a half? Shouldn't we try to get organized? Maybe start a production line?"

  12. When you think about it them having milk or red meat, thats kinda like us eating and milking monkeys

    People do eat monkeys.

There is quite a few differences between meat and say milk or eggs, a main one being you don't kill anything to get them.

You have a charming view of the egg/dairy industry.

Pray tell me, what do you think they do with the male animals? You know, the ones that can't lay eggs or produce milk? Do you think they allow them to frolic and gambol in flower-filled meadows? Perhaps in Equestria they do, but not in our world.

  13. I'm at least glad that they don't eat meat

They totally do eat meat! (Or seem to.)

I was just watching Fall Weather Friends this morning, and Pinkie talks about competing in a hot dog eating contest.

Now it's possible they only have vegetarian hot dogs made out of some meat substitute, but until canon contradicts it, my new headcanon is that ponies are at least occasional carnivores.

    Are the fish sentient?

All creatures in Octonauts are sentient. Even coral seems to be.

  14.

Though the eggs and milk are a bit strange, I'm at least glad that they don't eat meat. I always find it weird when a kids show has animal/anthro characters whose real-life equivalents are vegetarians eating meat

I always find the inverse weird.

For example, Octonauts is a show about a polar bear, a cat, and a penguin (there are other characters, but those are the main ones) who go around helping fish. These are all animals that eat lots of fish! But on the show they appear to survive on a diet of mostly kelp, algae and biscuits.
